22 Game streak

19 of the 22 games he had a hit in one of his 1st two at bats and he has never had to use his last at bat to extend the streak.

He has a short history of starting well and tiring out in the 2nd half. Granted, he has never started this well. Hopefully he can sustain it this year!

I agree about Drew. I didn't like it then, and i don't like it now.

On a side note. As much as i bitch about Crisp and Pedroia, they are both starting to grow on me. Coco simply because of the glove. He plays an amazing CF and the alternative is Wily Mo. Coco is on web gems almost every night and he'll be there again tonight.

Dustin has really turned it around too and is looking much more comfortable!

Funny, these guys are making me somewhat like the Sox. Well, I always like them against NYY, but I've been an Indians fan my whole life. But anyway, I was friends with Youk in college at UC and Pedroia is my neighbor's nephew. I met Dustin last year when Pawtucket was in Columbus against the Clippers. Talked to him along with his uncle and he seems like a REALLY standup guy. He got married last November in Chicago, and my neighbor went, but I couldn't get an invite, haha. He went out of his way after the game to say bye to his uncle and gave us a ball to give to a little girl that was sitting by us. Both of them are VERY class acts!

A guy hitting .230 with 8 HR's and making 14 million this year is just not appealing to me when he is going to want more than that next year. I keep thinking he will break out of his slump but we are 2 months in now and i'm not convinced anymore.
