      San Antonio at Utah
The Jazz did a good job of protecting the home court in Game Three, perhaps too good a job. Utah ran its postseason record to a perfect 7-0 and humiliated the Spurs in a 26-point win (109-83). But while that kind of loss might unsettle inexperienced teams, the three-time champs know what it takes to bounce back from bad losses. Since Duncan, Parker and Ginobili came together in 2002-2003, the Spurs are 5-4 in playoff games following losses of 12 points or more. One of those wins came in the last series against Phoenix when the Spurs bounced back from a 20-point loss in Game Two to beat Phoenix (108-101) in Game Three. And while that win was at home, San Antonio has already proven it can win on the road as the Spurs have won four of the six playoff games away from home thus far and have yet to lose back-to-back contests. The Spurs look like a good pick (-1) in Game Four according to Dunkel, which has San Antonio favored by 5. Dunkel Pick: San Antonio (-1). Here are all of today's games.

Pittsburgh Pirates at Cincinnati Reds (+102, 9 ½)

The Pirates look to break out the brooms for their series finale against the Reds. May has been a month to forget for Cincinnati as the team has lost 20 of 26 contests.

“This game, at this level, is about winning and nothing else,” Reds catcher Chad Moeller told the Cincinnati Enquirer. “So, when you don’t, it’s not a lot of fun. Everybody feels that.

“Nonetheless, you know it’s going to change. The team is too good…. This team has way too much talent and it will turn.”

Not sure if Reds backers should agree with Moeller’s positive outlook. Cincinnati now owns the major’s worst record and only two teams have a higher team ERA than the Reds.

Cincinnati's pitching has cured the Pirates' sleeping bats. Pittsburgh has scored 33 runs in the first three games of this series.

        Pick: Pirates –110

New York Yankees at Toronto Blue Jays (+130, 10 ½)

At the beginning of the season it was the pitching, now the Yankee bats are failing the team. New York is 12 ½ games behind the division-leading Boston Red Sox.

“With all these talented hitters we have on our team, it shouldn’t happen,” Johnny Damon told the New York Post. “We have to find a way to get through it.”

The Yankees scored only 10 runs in their three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels and it’s the middle of the order that’s really failing this team. Hideki Matsui, Alex Rodriguez and Jason Giambi hit .182 and drove in only one run on a solo homer against the Angels.

“Forget making contact: I have to start driving the ball if I’m going to protect Alex and (everybody) else,” Giambi said after Sunday’s 4-3 loss. “It’s frustrating for everybody.”

There's desperation in every word the Yankees mutter, but when will they go on a long winning streak?

        Pick: Blue Jays +130

Arizona Diamondbacks at Philadelphia Phillies (-151, 9 ½)

The Diamondbacks climbed back into the race for the National League West thanks to a weak part of the their schedule. Arizona has won seven of nine games highlighted by last weekend’s sweep of the Houston Astros.

Rookie third baseman Mark Reynolds has been a great addition to the Diamondbacks lineup. He is batting .442 with three long balls and 13 RBIs since being called up in the middle of May. He’s been so productive that manager Bob Melvin has even thrown him in the cleanup spot in some games.

“He’s done enough damage to warrant the sport,” Melvin told the Arizona Republic on Friday. “He’s going out there and playing the game and having some fun and he’s getting unbelievable results.”

It’s hard to trust the Phillies now that both Brett Myers and Tom Gordon are on the shelf. Freddy Garcia hasn’t pitched past the sixth inning all season and putting your money in the hands of a shaky Philadelphia bullpen isn’t a sound investment.

        Pick: Diamondbacks +143

We know that Utah is now 8-0 at home in playoffs, they waxed Spurs by 26 in Game 4, but they way they struggle on road, it is very important they win this game, to put pressure back on the Spurs, who led Game 3 by four at half, then got outscored 66-36 after intermission, as Jazz stayed in series. Spurs shot 10% less in Game 3 (43.8%) than they had in either of first two contests, and also had 20 turnovers/.

Neither Ducks nor Senators have ever won a Stanley Cup, so it is uncharted water for both teams, who did not face each other this season. Ducks surprisingly won last three games against Detroit, after falling behind 2-1. Teams have both been off for several days, so could be ceertain amount of rust early on here as teams get used to new opponent on game's biggest stage. Eight of last ten Ottawa games were decided by a single goal.

                          Six-pack for Monday

-- Bad week to be the Reds' pitching coach; they lost their last six games, giving up 57 runs. Not good to average 5.5 runs per game for six days, and go winless.

-- Astros have now lost eight games in a row, outscored by a total of 66-16.

-- Russell Martin is leading NL with .361 batting average in night games, but is hitting just .170 in day games.

-- In eight of 15 series this weekend, home side got swept.

-- East Carolina lists Sandra Bullock and Vince McMahon as two of its most prominent alumni. Interesting combo.

-- I'm still curious if Roger Clemens has a no-trade deal.
