Liddell was over hyped, got dropped in the first round. Pitiful, glad i didnt pay for that. Jackson is clearly the BETTER fighter, how many times does he have to prove it.

Rematch, why, liddell will lose again. JMO

jackson certainly has his number but to say chuck is overhyped is not correct.....He was the face of the UFC and its most recognizable star for sure.....but he is the real deal.....he just got caught.....the fight never unfolded like the first time when he was battered......i would have liked to see it transpire a little more to see each of their skills....but at the beginning of the fight (like many fights) bombs are thrown and chuck got caught......other than that neither one had time to display a skill level in any discipline...IMHO i agree that he would probably lose again.....

Also there was 8 GREAT fights for $39.95 so it was a good value if you are a true fan.......Certainly better than spending $50 at the movies for 2 people.....

i love chuck but rampage is better.......he is one rugged bastard...give the man his due
oh no, don't get me wrong, im not saying it shouldn't have been called, obviously chucked was dazed but he started to defend himself a little bit when he caught the elbow. I like rampage too, he's a bad dude, wish chuck could have won though. My favorite fight was the din thomas fight....had dudes back for 4 minutes and couldn't submit him, that was cool, wish stephens could have pulled that out, especially after he slammed his ass while he had his arm....that was a cool fight.
          1 = $25

Tony, my point is this. This sport is taking off like nascar, you want my change, then deliver a good fight. With the amount of hype that went into Liddel, i was very disappointed in his performance. Thats all i heard was how he was going to get his revenge. Dude got dropped like a sack of taters.

For a growing sport, it would have been in their best interest for a great fight, not a first round knock out of there coverboy.

JMO, i realize he got caught, but you never see the truley great ones get caught in the first round like that.

Tyson doesnt count, he is a loser rapist and not a great fighter

in their best interest to have a great fight??? i am sure they were hoping as well, but most ufc fight fans respect the sport and the nature of a quick stoppage.....the good ones come back from it....they also had many other good fights.....All the matchmaker can do is set the fight up....When you set up a boxing match it is pretty straight forward,,,,,this guy is a boxer vs. a brawler....where in MMA you have 4 disciplines to worry about and a cage so that is a lot of variables......I know you may have been expecting more (as was i), but a knowledgeable mma fan knows this comes with the territory and i would rather have a man go down on his shield than watch spinks or mayweather run around for 12 rounds at $54.95.....

also you can not compare a boxer who has 8-10 ounce gloves to getting hit with 4 ounce gloves so the incidence of ko is much much greater

name some truly great ones in this sport who have not been caught.....hmmm......there are none because the landscape is littered with new and better fighters......whereas boxing is 1 skill honed this is many variables thrown together and see how it comes out.....

hughes - caught and ko'd by st. pierre
georges st. pierre - ko'd by serra
                franklin - ko'd
                cro-cop - ko'd by gonzaga
                Couture - ko'd by chuck
                tito - ko'd

i could go on and on......if you watch the sport and appreciate the skill level that goes into it you may appreciate it.....it is a sport that you can be ahead and 1 mistake can cost you big in terms of a ko or a gulliatine or an arm triangle if you get lazy

my point to you is that there is no guarentee in UFC....people bitch because boxing is boring and guys avoid fighting (delahoya/mayweather and taylor/spinks)......yet bitch when these guys lay it on the line.....there was 8 good fights......lots of big names and up and comers....disappointed in his performance???? what performance??? he got caught with a bomb.....case closed......it happens....1st minute in this sport there are many bombs thrown.......sometimes they land......man, you are a tough critic.....

i love it and maybe i am biased because i worked out with some MMA guys and see how skilled and in shape they are
