  • UFC 71: Chuck Liddell vs. Quinton Jackson

Who wins the Title Saturday Night in Vegas?

Jackson beat him in their only other meeting in '03. I think Chuck gets his revenge!

Rampage is quick and tuff. He took it to the iceman 4 years ago. He looked bigger then though. Actually looking forward to the fight and it is actually getting alot if play on ESPN. I personally would like to see Liddell win but I don't think its going to happen.

Where are you guys betting the fight? I know BetJam doesn't have a line on it. Who does? Thanks for the info.
Circumstances do not make the man; they reveal him.

Bookmaker has the fight - current oddds are:

        Liddell -175
        Jackson +145

I'm going to a party tonight where they have ordered the fight and a few guys told me all the value is with Jackson, but that if I bet on him - I'll be the only one in the house rooting for him.

Rampage is a physical specimen- having 6 losses and I seriously doubt he has an IQ over 120. He is a smasher/ wrestler with little concern for the boxing side of the equation. He likes tight quarters and he will beat you with anything including his head. He is focused and mean.
Lidell is not as strong but he possess instincts, boxing skills, and ways to reverse the oppositions advantage.
Lidell will need to keep some distance in which to be effective. Then gain the advantage by pounding on the ears, head and vulnerable areas to make him want to give up the fight!
Should be interesting- brawn vs instincts. 205 pounds a piece.
I like Lidell's chances as he has studied Rampage and has his eyes set on retaining the championship!

chuck is actually a sound wrestler.....college....kenpo karate expert......he does not have what i would call boxing skills since boxers rely on straight punching...he is unorthodox as hell....Throwing looping punches from all angles and he has hands of stone......even when retreating (highly unusual).....he loves to mix it up standing and jackson will stand up with him and this will be his demise......also there is no use of the head in UFC......some validity to the pride guys having not much success.....so far....

                  chuck.....ko in round 2

one quick right to the side of the head and its over. On T.V it didn't look like Rampage got Chuck that good but the Ice Man was stunned. At first I thought Big John McCarthy called the fight too soon but after seeing the replay Chuck was about to get his brains beat in. Huge win for Rampage

Rampage beat him squarely the first fight, not to take anything away from chuck,he's a great fighter but this was not that big an upset.Twoton, what impressed me the most about rampage was his trainer, any credentials on the guy ?

I do not know...i saw the special where he trains up in big bear......seems you called this one chunger.....i knew i was biased.....price was probably driven up by lots of unknowledgable bettors who do not know anybody but lidell.......simply dominant......right hook...wow....you never see that thrown by a conventional fighter.....

Hey guys...this may sound really ignorant, but I have seen a number of pretty big fav's go down in MMA recently. Does anybody else feel a little funny about that??? I can't remember specificaly which ones because i'm not a big fan. But I have bet favorites that some of my friends have said are pretty good fighters and gotten burned. It is probably not legit to bring it up because I see and bet on too few of a number of fights. Just wanted to see if anybody else thought the same. Thanks
