My friend Chado is on Pitt today and Gorzo has pitched well but I believe Looper and the Cards may prevail and wish to give my reasoning which can be debunked at any time by anyone and I really wish you would!!! I can wring up info, trends and stats - but my no means can I predict the future unless its my sex life cuz I ain't gettin' any lately!

Pitt is hitting .241 against rightys and the Cards are hitting .261 against leftys. That changes when playing on grass. Pitt actually has a slightly better hitting of .243 vs .239 in the same scenario of pitching.

Looper has given up 7 ER in 25 innings at home. Don't let the 7 runs against Detroit lull you into thinking he has lost his touch. Looper has become a quality starter giving 6-7 innings every time out. Also the bull pen of the Cards is slightly better overall (not the last 3 however) than that of the Pirates.

On the other hand- Gorzo has 9 ER in 32 innings away. Impressive and a close game if you do not consider the bull pen.
So lets look at the bull pens!

Pitt 18 hits 11 ER in 21.3 innings
St. Louis 43 hits 21 ER in 36 innings-- yikes- Red Flag- Danger Will Robinson

I have showed you the umps record but I add for your amusement-

Under is 16-7-2 in STL last 25 games as a favorite.

I visited my LMT last week. I gave her your instructions you posted, and it seemed to help a bit. Don't get me wrong, I still hurt, but I find I have less pressure in the lower back and hips. Also, better circulation in the legs.

Spear It, not to mention Loopers career numbers vs the Pirates. In 24 games against them, he is 1-1 with 5 saves with a super low ERA of 1.60, on the other hand Gorzelanny has been unreal against the cardinals but it was when the cars were struggling, momentum cards i see it being a scrappy like 4-2 game again, but STL comes out on top.

Good stuff, spearit, as always. I can't access baseball information at work due to firewall issues, but could someone get the breakout of home vs. away for both pitchers. Believe Gorzy is pretty darn unbeatable on the road where most of his success comes from.

I do have to agree that Pirates bullpen is rough as they have cost Gorzy 2 wins this year, but Cardinal hitting still lacks oomph other than Chris Duncan. Maybe this series breaks them out of the funk, but can you really count on Edmonds and company to get it together? I think it is an extremely close game, I just went with the positive money and better road record in terms of pitcher success.
