Lost on the Brewers last night, here are my MLB bets today:
Royals -111 for 2 units - Gil Meche has been money for the Royals this year going 3-1 with a 1.91 era. Last 3 starts he is 1-0 with a 1.35 era. Royals have won 3 in a row and are 6-4 last 10 games. Meche is 5-0 with a 3.02 era last 7 games vs the NL. Buchholz is 0-6 with a 9.44 ea in 8 starts since July 16th. Last start Buchholz gave up 8 earned runs and 12 hits in 4.2 innings in a 15-2 home loss to the Giants.
Orioles 5 inning line -140 - Guthrie is 1-1 with a .93 era last 3 starts and was a victim of their horrible bullpin as they blew a 5-0 lead in the 9th vs Boston. Mike Bacsik was called up from AAA Columbus where he was 1-3 with a 4.00 era. During 5 game losing streak, starters era was 2.76 and the bullpin for the Orioles was 15.75 era with opponents batting .421. That's why I opt for the 5 inning line today.
