first off, his number one reliever to get him out of a jam today was Mike McDougal? hes trash, he let up 3 hitrs before he even got the third out of the inning. 2ndly, after something like that happens to a reliever you dont bring him back out the next inning, you bring in a new arm, and he brought him back out and he sucked a bunch of dicks.

MacDougal has control issues as he walks too many.

Looks like the White Sox catcher Toby Hall didn't help any either.

What would a City Series be without a little controversy? And just to make it perfect with the universe, it all started with White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski.

On WSCR-AM 670's Mike North show Friday morning, the host was interviewing Pierzynski about sitting out Friday's first game of the City Series while rehabbing backup Toby Hall makes his first start of the season. North said he was shocked Pierzynski wasn't in the lineup.

"Why do I need a rest? I just got three days off in a row," Pierzynski said.

So what did Pierzynski think the talk of his needing rest was really about?

"They want Toby at the plate against a lefty, that's what that means."

Left-hander Ted Lilly will start for the Cubs today. While Pierzynski said, "I'm not aggravated, I'm just surprised," his manager was clearly agitated and called North's show to let him know. After Ozzie Guillen got on the air he came out swinging as if he were taking batting practice.

"Oh, shut the [deleted] up!" Guillen barked. "I know you like A.J. but there's no reason for you to make lineups and [deleted]."

North reminded the fiery manager that he was live on the air and that his catcher was disappointed to not be playing.

"I don't care what A.J. thinks," Guillen said. "I make the best lineup. I want to find out what Toby Hall can do for this ballclub, find out right away how we are going to use him. I never said A.J. was in a platoon."

Then Guillen went back to his more colorful vocabulary.

"Believe me, I'm tired of you guys and this bull[deleted] every god[deleted] day."

North cut Guillen off: "Hey, Ozzie, clean up your mouth. Clean up your damn mouth when you're talking on the radio and talking to me. Have a little respect, all right? Don't go talking to me like you're talking down to somebody."

The two declared their friendship while continuing to argue. North was clearly offended.

"Don't you ever talk down to me. Don't ever talk to me like I'm some … Yeah, you better hang up the damn phone."

North continued, fretting about his job security, perhaps over a potential FCC violation from Guillen's comments.

"You got no class for swearing on the air three different times," North said. "I'm not going to lose my job because of him. If you can't stand the heat, get out the hell out of the kitchen, junior."

Out of the kitchen and in the visiting manager's office at Wrigley Field, North and Guillen made nice after the show. They hugged and North handed out chocolate candies to Sox players.

Pierzynski met with his manager and GM Ken Williams after the dust-up. He told reporters he's been assured he's not in a platoon scenario with Hall and he has moved on. He's also reconsidering his weekly show with WSCR.

"I've got to talk to my agent and my family," Pierzynski said.

No word whether a piece of North's chocolate will be enough to sweeten the deal.
