My system uses a return indicator for the dogs that we toss out at the begining of the races . Being there where 126 dogs tossed out [ for all three tracks ] in 42 races , the main thing to look for here is how many of them seems to sneek-into our results .
We have noticed over the years that anymore than 1 dog a race will produce a poor night overall and we strive to keep it under those totals for each and every card. It may seem to the average person that its easy to do after picking 5 of the 8 dogs but I can assure you thats not the case " it is very difficult " to maintain that kind of average.
When taking into account all the things that happen even before the race [ scratches ] post positions , weather , conditions [ track ] , then you have to deal with what happens during the event ! And theres a goods reason they wear muzzles because without them 80% of the races would result in one huge dog fight.
Early leg , late leg , closing ability , foot speed , avg. times , health , boxes they draw , slashers , maulers , railers , wide trackers , the list can go on forever all figure in to the equation for tabbing a winner .
Heres the math of a race and like it or not , these are the numbers you have to deal with :
There are 336 tri-combos & 1680 super-combos per race ! Regardless of overlays , underlays , favorites , longshots , high-grade races these are what you are facing. The real trick to this , is getting it narrowed down to a winning dog then you have cut it down to 42 tri-combos & 210 super-combos and that my friends is when you start taking Joe Publics money from him !
This is a massive amount of work and years of savvy go into effect here , but unlike most everyones wagering here if you do your homework and pay your dues you can stop lying to yourself and everyone else in the world you " will make money " on a very consistent basis and actually be a winner instead of talking about it !
As always brought to you from the sunny shores of Ragtown , home of the leaper colony.
