Usually don't give write-ups but I feel this one must be defended. Scott Olsen, the Marlin's opposing pitcher, is pitching with a bum foot. He is fighting through it, however, and while I respect his fortitude I think its gonna have an effect on his performance tonight.

From the Miami Herald: ''I'm not going to miss a start,'' vowed Olsen, who was hit in the foot by a line drive in his start Friday against the Nationals. ``But it's sore. It doesn't feel good.'' Olsen says he feels pain from his calf to his heel.

Pirates win 5-3 behind a decent pitching performance from Duke at home.
