Well ........... After listening to this Dale Jr interview, he won't be driving the number 3 car. That's for sure. I have a feeling he might be going to Hendricks???

They don't allow alcoholic sponsors and Jr isn't leaving Budweiser. Forget about Joe Gibbs racing. He wants to stay in a chevy too so it should be RCR, Hendricks or Jr. Motorsports.

I 100% agree with that. It won't be RCR. He wants to be out of his dad's shadow, not right smack dab in it.

I understand Gibbs position on not wanting to associate with Budweiser....but from a financial standpoint it would be INSANE for him to turn it down....I mean INSANE.

It seems that there are two options for junior at Hendrick...either they tell Casey Mears have a nice day and pay him for next year ahead of time, and open the spot for Junior, or junior starts his own team with the help of Hendrick which is within the rules. He'll get Hendricks engines, knowledge, etc....

Any of the three....I'm OK with.

I'm very intrigued to see how this goes in the next month.

I know he's got his morals.....

Can you really pass up that money????

All the new merchandise that has to be made now, and bought? I mean every single sponser for Junior is salivating right now because the wind fall of money is about to be HUGE.

Gibbs would be a FAR better man then I would if the reason he wouldn't persue the most marketable driver on the curcit due to his affiliation with Budweiser.

I just don't see him going to Ginn racing but they keep talking about it.

You really think he's going to get out of his dad's shadow by going to the very race team he was on?

You know i'm a huge lil E fan....I just don't think that's the best thing for him.

I don't think he's going to Hendrick, too many superstars on one team. I don't think he's going to Gibbs, even though Gibbs is crazy for not taking on an alcohol sponsor. Ginn racing hasn't proved they can win yet, what's the difference between Ginn and DEI right now? Not much imo. That leaves one logical choice in RCR as I believe that he (Jr Motorsports) doesn't have enough time to get all the resources together that can field a cup team next year. Driving the #33 will be a lot different than the #3. Richard has always been sort of like a dad to Jr after his father's passing. I just think it makes perfect sense.

I think RCR is still the favorite for his services. I just don't think there is any way it will be in the #3 car

I agree 100% ... especially with the comment i highlighted. I think that will be the one thing that keeps him AWAY from Hendricks!

Where as I feel the opposite. I think that would be one of the biggest reasons he'd go to a team like Hendrick. Why not affiliate with the best?

He's gonna be the biggest draw which ever team he goes to.

The money that the winning owner can make with him is just off the charts. For THAT reason I think Hendrick or ANY OTHER owner would be crazy not to do whatever they needed to do to sign him.

I think at RCR he could be "The Man" on and off the track. I also think his connection to Richard Childress holds a TON of weight in his decision being as close to him as he is. Hendricks can't do anything to match that variable and i don't think Jr. will over ride his connection with Childress based on money. That in itself gives RCR a big advantage (imo).

At Hendricks he will be "The Man" off the track but he will clearly be "The (3rd) Man" on it. Another reason to go to RCR (IMO).
