The 1st ever hockey team from the United States to win the Quebec Junior Hockey League was a team from right here in Maine. They swept Val 'dor in the Finals last night. They are about 45 minutes north of me and called the Mainiacs! It was pretty cool to see them get it done.

That's awesome. In reality, i don't follow the Lewiston team. Most up here follow the AHL's Portland Pirates alot closer. I just thought it was cool that they won but Lewiston is a dump so i have no interest in going there for a game with players i have never heard of!

shitty part of town/area huh....is this team from Maine or New England....you live in NE right? Yea that London Knights team that year had the best record of all-time in Canadian Junior Hockey League history, they also set a record for longest undefeated streak to start a season going unbeaten in their first 33 games!!! Unreal!?! ...Darryl Sittler, Brendan Shanahan, Rick Nash are 3 players I can think of the top of my head that played for the Knights and were/are impact players in the NHL!!!Last edited by Chado1; 05-11-2007, 12:00 AM.SOBER SINCE MARCH 28TH OF 2007!!!
