I have only posted one baseball play so far (a winner on Sunday on Detroit as a tiny fave) as I like to get a feel for the teams and baseball is the sport in which teams change most radically from year to year.
I had a great record last year:
53-41 +17.91 units
3* 0-1 -3.0 units
1* 53-40 +20.91 units
Dogs 25-19 +14.45 units
Faves 11-8 +1.45 units
Totals 17-14 +2.01 units
I am especially proud that I was way over .500 on dogs. My goal, of course, is to rack up units and the best way to do that is to play dogs that have at least a 50-50 chance ofwinning and avoiding ALL big favorites. I NEVER play a team over -140 and hate playing run lines.
I expect to average 3-6 plays per week the rest of the year and am fully determined to end at least 14 units to the positive.
Listed pitchers ALWAYS.
2007 YTD 1-0 +1.00 units
Faves 1-0 +1.0 units
Dogs and Totals 0-0
Virtually all plays will be rated 1*.
I have one game today I love:
1* Red Sox +138
This line is absurd. How can a team with an eight game losing streak be a -150 favorite over the team with the best record in the league????????? Obviously, they are over-betting Halladay but Boston's Wakefield has been very sharp with a fantastic 2.11 ERA. Take the value and take the Sox.
