Well maybe we broke out of the Monday slump yesterday with a nice 3-1 overall day, picking up 4.6 units. The Cardinals had a chance last night, but could not hit to save their lives and we therefore lost the sweep. Oh Well onto today.

Atlanta(Villareal) / Padres(Germano) Under ? Waiting on this line to come out. If it is at 9, it is a 3 unit play on the Under. If it is 8 - 8.5 it is a 2 unit play on the under. That being said, Villareal helped a struggling Braves rotation out last year and I see no reason why he can not do it again. I feel as if he was looking for a chance to get back into the rotation and this might be his only shot. He will show why he deserved a spot at the back end of the rotation from the beginning tonight. Germano has very impressive numbers in AAA so far this year. 4-0, 1.69 era and 20-3 k/bb ratio. As long as his nerves are not shot from being called up to start, this kid will pitch well enough to keep the Padres in it and the Braves bats at bay. Those hot bats seemes to have cooled off a little bit, and let's hope for one more night of low scoring from these two teams(with the Braves pulling out a win of course)

Tigers - Bonderman -1.5 -110 Seattle is on a very bad road trip that began in Boston, went 4 in New York, and now they go 3 against the defending AL Champion Tigers. They have had 1 day off in the last 21 days, most of which were spent on the road. This might be early on in the season, but that has got to take a toll on a team. I look for the M's to come out flat tonight even after salvaging a split with the Yankees in NY last night. Last year Bonderman gave up 3 runs in 13 innings of work against Seattle. His last two home starts he has yielded only 5 runs in 12 innings pitched. Bonderman shuts down the M's tonight and Detroit bangs out a solid win.

Athletics - Gaudin -105
Angels - Santana -111 They just seem to pitch, hit, and flat out play much better at home.
