What an unlikely second-round Western matchup, but it is about to become a reality.
The home team is 6-0 SU in this series, with all three games in Utah being of the DD variety, and all of the games in Houston being more evenly contested. The officiating has seemed lopsided in favor of the home team in every game, which bodes well for Houston in the deciding Game 7.
No Jerry Sloan-coached team will ever give up, regardless of the score, and Utah has held the lead in all 6 games so far at the half.
I think Houston will feel the heat, and TMac will be unable to carry the load down the stretch, keeping his record perfect in 1st round playoff series....oh-fer. Juwan Howard tried to get physical with Okur, in front of Utah fans, at a time when Houston held a slight lead, and it fired up the locals. Howard tried the same stuff many years ago as a Maverick, with the same results. Utah is a smarter, more physical team, and with the pressure shifted back to Houston, should be able to overcome the huge edge home teams have held in NBA G7s historically.
Utah will stick with their sets, and Houston will continue to leave guys wide open, and then TMac will jack up ill advised shots and panic will set in.
I bleed Rocket Red, so it is with a heavy heart and a heavy sigh that I pronounce this Saturday's game as the last game of the year...for the Houston Rockets.
PS I will not bet this game, and since I am picking Utah ML and Utah +5.5, it is safe to say that those are two winners.
