  • The Cub Game Suspended Betting Question?

How Was The Total Graded By The Sports Books.......? Was It An Over Or No Action?

  • #2
PLS HELP- IS THERE ANYONE WHO KNOW HOW VEGAS HANDLED THE CUBS GAME????? MY LOCAL BOOK SAYS THAT VEGAS WENT BACK ONE INNING AND AWARDED THE GAME, 5 TO 2 PITT....................IF THIS WAS LAST YR THAT WOULD BE CORRECT ACCORDING TO MLB RULING BUT THAT WAS CHANGED TO FORCE COMPLETION

HOW CAN VEGAS PAY PITT BETTORS ON A RULE THAT DOES NOT EXIST???????????

LOOKING FOR SOMEONE OF THE FORUM WHO IS IN VEGAS AND HOW DID THEY HANDLE IT, THANKS

The Online Books ..did Award Pitsburgh The Winner In Terms Of Betting.......even Though The Game Isnt Completed..im Not Sure How They Handled The Total......because Reguardless Ofwhat The Pirates Do In The Bottom Half Of The Inning The Game Is Already Over The Total. I Thought An Over Is An Over Is An Over.....but Cant Get Anyone To Verify It

I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing totals were graded as no action as I believe a game has to go a full 9 innings or 8 1/2 with the home team ahead to be graded.

totals if they go OVER say in 5 innings are an over......as even UNDER bettings cant dispute the game was overeven if it only takes 5 innings...that was my belief. TOTALS are no action if the cam is less than comlete only if they are under i was thinking

I don't think it works like that. The books want every advantage they can get. I understand where you're coming from though and I think it's complete

I speak from experience;game has to be played to its completion for a total to count no matter how many runs were scored prior to when it was called.

ok.....thanks guys...local guy handled different....but i asked right away what he was gonna do on it. He just let the game stand til completion cause it was resumed today which i prefered.

Believe me, there is no worse feeling than playing an OVER play and having it be, like, 11-7 in the 8th inning and getting it called due to weather. Of course that would never happen if I had the UNDER, turning a loser into a no-play.
You can't always get what you want, but if you try some time, you might find, you get what you need.

I CAUGHT A BREAK WITH THE LOCAL BOOK....he is pretty decent when it comes to these weird things.....i recall him paying both sides when the METs guy hit that walk off grand slam ...but it only counted as a single cause the team mobed him and he never crossed home plate. SO it was an under but if this guy ran the bases it was an over.....guy paid both .Probably made up for it in the long run as hes doing very well.
