Teasing is a losers game in the long run, the house edge is way too high....

what does NE have to play for? They are already 3-0 and their city loves them. Chicago sucks and their city hates them...... Wouldn't Chicago wan't to pull one out here while they can in the preseason.

I agree but i have been on the right side of them the last 3 years and that's not including exhibition season where my wagers are much smaller. You don't have to play them but watch the regular season record with teasers and College foir that matter. I do agree though i have a buddy that gets killed on them week after week....... Now he calls to see what i like each time there are games!


Some people hate em' and some love em' but i think if you play the right ones you can make money. Also there are plenty of games where you can tease both sides and NOT lose. Not to many sports have that option available. Those games you can't lose no matter which side or total are real sweet.

Never claimed to be the master...just curious why you are fighting the house edge when you could just play your picks straight up and probably do a lot better.

If you are going to tease, might as well use Millennium, they offer 3-team 10pts at 10%, 2 team 7 pts at 15%, and 2 team 6ts at even money, at least you get a little edge back.

ALOT of teams want to win certain games but talent doesn't always let that happen and the Pats defense has been better than i have EVER seen and that's an understatement. I won't be surprised if they score on Defense and their deep at alot of positions. Colvin will go nuts on his old team and Brady will be sharp as ever early. Even when the starters leave their "D" will leave alot of starters in late and don't be too fooled cause the Bears are looking at ALOT of people fighting for positions as well and just want to get out of here injury free. If the Pats get up early the Bears might pull everyone out!

Hey maybe i'm the one missing it but i have watched all 3 Exhibition games and they have come out every time and just manhandled everyone. The stadium will be loud and packed and N.E. feeds off that at home bigtime. The Bears just don't do much for me especially on offense, Belichek and that defense have always had pretty good success against Stewart too.

Pats have averaged 5 sacks per game in preseason and guess who gets no. 1 tonight, you guessed it the Ex Bear Colvin throwing Stewart to the ground HARD!

Well i split my NFL wagers but in the end the Pats put it to the Bears and hopefully you benefited from this Winner!

Re: Teasers-I have to agree that after many years of gambling teasers are terrible bets in the long haul.
Wayne, if you are really ahead in these things over time, you are one of the few who can say it.
The best bet on the board is that if you look over your teaser bets over the last few seasons and the upcoming one, stats will tell you that many more times than not, the teaser points meant nothing in outcome of the bet and you would have done just as well by betting the pieces as straight bets.
In short, in most cases if you win the teaser you would have won most the bets without teaser points.
Or conversely, if you lose the teaser, I bet a lot more time than not you would have split if you played the pieces separate.
I will be keeping close tabs this year on your teasers relative to what I just said to see if perhaps if you really are one of the select few who can beat these things and especially with teasers where the points do make a difference;I am not counting pre season.
