I was wondering the same thing. He had the mri done on April 17, but I have not seen any release of information on the results anywhere. Usually no news is not good news...
Hope someone can pipe in with some concrete dish on this set back for the Beloved Dodgers...
Not what you were looking for, but this is all I could find...again, I believe that no news is bad news...
According to the Los Angeles Times, "Jason Schmidt, on the disabled list because of a sore shoulder, returned after spending a few days with his wife and newborn son in Phoenix and said he is still a long way from pitching. Schmidt began strengthening exercises but is still several days away from playing catch and perhaps several weeks from taking the mound. "I'm still rehabbing it from a strength standpoint," he said. "Obviously I'd like to be moving as fast as I can. "It's a definite improvement from where we were, the achiness is not what it was and the range of motion is better. But there is only one ultimate test and that is getting in a game."

Ex-Rockies hurler draws interest Sabathia an option for desperate NY?
$47 million pitcher out for season?
Posted: Tuesday May 01, 2007 10:30AM ET
The Dodgers are worried that Jason Schmidt might not pitch again this season, according to a major league source. Schmidt, who signed a three-year contract for $47 million, has a bad shoulder and could be shutdown for surgery soon. Schmidt is 1-2 with a 7.36era this season in three starts.
Jason Schmidt played catch Friday for the first time since going on the disabled list 17 days ago with bursitis in his shoulder, according to the LA Times. He was able to throw 40 times from about 50 feet. "It's not anything to get too excited over," trainer Stan Conte said. "It's not insignificant by any stretch of the imagination. We're moving up each day and we're progressing each day. [But] how fast he will progress after this it's hard to tell. At any point it can really take off. Or it can back up."
