Hot streak fizzled out last night...look to get back on track tonight. Still 17-6 to open up the baseball season this year which isnt terrible. Let's get right into it...
Dontrelle Willis' last performance was awful. Pure garbage. He got lit up by the New York Mets and hopefully he will get his head out of his ass and start pitching like he did at the beginning of the season. When he went 3-0 going into the mets, lets pitch like that tonight. Career against the Braves, Willis is 5-4 with a 4.72 ERA in 15 appearances. Kyle Davies gets the start for ATL, Davies in 5 appearances vs the Marlins is 0-2 with a 9.22 ERA, letting up 14 runs in 13 2/3 innings in his carrer against the fish. Like the position for Marlins tonight, especially how red hot they were yesterday... Not to mention Atlanta has lost their last 10 of 14 games on the road against the Marlins Florida -140
Love the Met's today, Maine is pitching like a freakin brilliant pitcher nowadays. I saw Buchholz pitch when he was on the Astros last year because Astros are my team and he was one of the only players I would admit to people that were terrible. Ya know when you got a team and you try to defend your players if someone says they suck, I couldnt do much defending with this kid. He has so much potential too, but the Mets are going to light him up tonight, as they are 2-1 favorites. NY Mets -200
Yankees have lost 3 in a row, this is very unlike them to get completely swept in a series. They look for revengence tonight against a scrappy Tampa Bay team. Igawa gets the nod for the Yankees while Fossum gets the start for Tampa Bay. Fossum in his career is 4-4 against the the Yanks, Igawa has never faced Tampa Bay. Both pitchers ERA's are up over 6.00, which should provide for a slugfest, but dont be fooled and bet the over just yet, Yankees will hang in there and pick up a much needed victory at Tampa Bay tonight. NY Yankees -160
and my final play of the day, the late game Det @ LAA. Det had a tough time sqeaking out a victory at home against the Chicago White Sox (IMO, a less than good team,) and today they travel all the way across the US to visit LAA. LAA is starting to heat up, winning in their last 3 games. Guerrero is back and healthy, Colon is back and healthy, LAA should win this game against Maroth. Let's remember a couple seasons back, Maroth went over 20 starts without a win, he's not the greatest pitcher in that rotation, and Jered Weaver has yet this season to show his capabilities and he should be able to show tonight.... LAA -140
good luck to everyone tonight! Let's start the week off with some $$$
