what a great first two days back, going 12-2 overall is remarkable with a gain of +9.5 units. Thought Russ Ortiz still sucked, I guess not, he faired pretty well last night... all right, time for today's picks... good luck to those who follow
Anyone that banged Allysa Miliano deserves me putting $150.00 up on them to beat a team. Barry Zito tries to carry the momentum in from last nights win over Arizona. Barry Zito to me, is one of the best lefties in the game when he's on. He's got the best curve ball of any lefty in the game and if he can get it working, he will be lights out. Zito is 1-1 lifetime vs the Dbacks with a super low ERA of 1.23. Edgar Gonzalez makes his start for Arizona and he in his lifetime vs the Giants is 2-1 but look at his ERA, it's at 11.00 vs SF. He's thrown a total of 9 innings in 3 games vs the Giants and surrendered 14 hits in those 9 innings, 11 earned runs and walked 5. I think the logical pick here is with Barry Zito and company. SAN FRAN -150
The Florida Marlins get back Miguel Cabrera today and play host to the Washington Nationals. Chico is on the mound for the Nationals... wait WHO? CHICO!? You've got to be kidding me... you mean the guy who just the other day vs the Marlins on April 4th lasted 4 innings, giving up 6 runs and 8 hits... is this the same Chico? Anibal Sanchez gets the nod for the Marlins and in Anibal's lifetime vs the Nationals he has never lost, 2-0... Marlins are 6-3 at home vs the Nats, gotta go with the Fish today, they look ready to win this one... Florida Marlins -160
Like I really don't understand how some pitchers in their lifetime pitch a total of 16 2/3 innings against a certain club and give up 12 earned runs. How bad can you suck? Eric Milton has done this in his career against the Phillies. The Phillies are still hungry and they got their steak dinner taken right from underneath them last night in an extra inning loss to Cincinatti. Cole Hamels is a quality young pitcher and in the 5 innings he's tossed against Cincinatti they have yet to score on him and they've only produced 1 hit in those 5 innings. Sorry Eric Milton, gunna go with the 23 year old Cole Hamdels today instead of you. Philidelphia Phillies -130
I just have a quick question, and im going to answer my own question but.. how are the Dodgers favored last night -180 with Randy Wolf pitching and now only -150 favorites with Brad Penny pitching. It's either.. A.) Tony Armas was pitching for Pirates last night and Ian Snell was not which makes a big difference or B.) they are waiting for Brad Penny to start sucking all of a sudden because it seems all too sureal that he is pitching as good as he is and they want to minimize the first loss of his so they bookies dont have to pay out as much. Im a believer in the Pirates today and think they can get the job done. I like what i've seen in Ian Snell, he just has to keep the ball down. Penny is only 3-2 lifetime vs the Pirates, he hasnt dominated this team by any means with a lifetime ERA of 4.18 vs the Rates. Snell so far this season is 1-1, with a 1.80 ERA and a bunch more strikeouts than Penny. I can't believe Penny is 3-0 and has only struck out 6 batters? How bout Snell with 20Ks... Last time out Snell looked good in his win over St. Louis and hopefully will carry the momentum here today and give Penny his first loss of the season. Moneylike looks good here..Pittsburgh Pirates +140
I like the White Sox in this situation today... looking at Contreras career numbers vs the Tigers, I like the potential of this game. Nate Robertson is 4-6 career against the White Sox. White Sox has started hitting the ball and winning games, let's speak no more and put some money on the White Sox. Chicago White Sox +125
Now, I don't care if I pitched against Zach Greinke I hope you would take me on the money line any day. This kid is awful... I saw him earlier in the season on the hot list and im like, you've got to be kidding me this kid is pure garbage... Boof Bonser, I can't speak too "highly of him" but I def like this redemption spot for the Twins as they lost last nights game at Kansas City. You can't even say homefield advantage for Kansas City because they have about 20 people at every homegame.... Minnesota Twins -120
thats all I got today... hopefully we'll keep going upwards, and gaining more units and putting food on the table for meeeee...good luck to everyone today!
