Hey everyone, good first day back yesterday and hope to follow it up today... I just got word that Rolen and Edmonds will both be playing in todays game as well as Pujols, thats good news, they should be able to beat up on Chicago as their offense is less than stellar as of yet. Lilly isnt the greatest starting pitcher and although Looper and Lilly are pretty close as far as stats this year, St. Louis has a perfect oppourtunity to break out of their slump right here in Chicago. St. Louis +120

tonight's games

great start to the day on the St. Louis winner at +120, making it 8-1 to start my MLB season with a gain of +5.5 units. let's keep it going with the night games tonight, got a total of 5 plays.

The San Diego Padres go on the road to the mile high city of Denver to play the Colorado Rockies. Jogg Fogg gets the start for Colorado vs Chris Young on the padres. This should be a slugfest for SD bats. Josh Fogg is simply terrible and I can't see him shutting the door on a hot team like San Diego. Chris Young has never lost against Colorado and look for him to bounce back in this game from the worst outing of his young career. SD Padres -110

Couple hundred miles away in the Bay Area, San Fran is host to the red hot Arizona Diamondbacks. Russ Ortiz gets the nod for SF as Doug Davis will take the hill for the D backs. Russ Ortiz against, I used it above, but simply terrible. The Diamondbacks if they can keep their bats alive and score some runs should come out ahead in this one. Ortiz lifetime against the Dbacks he's 5-6 with an E.R.A of 4.50. Davis is 2-2 vs San Fran in his career. Arizona +100

Dodgers play host to the Pirates. I started the season watching the Pirates and im like, you've got to be kidding. They have more wins then the Cardinals and of course everyone says it's early, but they can def play ball... however... they are going to run into a road block today and if you ever run as fast as you can into a cement wall, tell me if it hurts and makes you lay on the ground for a long time. Pirates will be halted tonight as Randy Wolf should pitch stellar (3-1, 3.48 era vs Pirates) against Tony Armas (2-2, 5.16 era vs LAD.) Dodgers are simply one of the best teams in the National League right now and should carry some momentum into their homefield tonight and pick this one up. LAD -180

Betting close to $200 on any game to win $100 always makes me nervous but I see fit for the game above and the next one on my list. Cleveland visiting Tampa Bay. Im sure Cleveland will love to see some sunshine and warm weather after the beginning of their schedule was... yes... snowed out. C.C. Sabathia has been completely dominant thus far in the season and should keep it up tonight. Somebody said outside of Johan Santana this year, CC is 2nd best lefty in the big leagues right now. I'd say, he's pretty damn tied with Johan if not a little bit better If I could say that... 6-1, 2.44 E.R.A in his career against the D Rays. Simply Dominating... Erwin Jackson gets the start for the D Rays and he is going to get absolutely smoked. Cleveland -180

Finally, Oakland travels to Texas for the weekend matchup with the Rangers. Blanton is starting for the Athletics against McCarthy on the Rangers. If I remember correctly, last game McCarthy pitched, he got lit up by Seattle, am I wrong? I think his line was 2 innings pitched, 6 hits, 6 earned runs and 3 Hr's. Not bad... actually really really bad. he's young, he is talented but Oakland has some hot hitters so unless he takes his head out of his ass, Oakland will spank him around a bit tonight. Cannot believe Oakland is the underdog in this situation. Oakland +100
