Hi all,
First off, I'll preface this with a note that I have been a Cavs fan my whole life. But anyway, I think I have a pretty good idea here to make some cash. Basically, in my opinion, there is a near 100% chance that the Cavs win their first two series: Wizards and then the Raptors/Nets winner. I don't see either series going past 6 games and maybe both ending in 5. Now, after those two, it would be against Det/Chi/Mia in the East finals. All would be a tall task with the Cavs probably being slight favs against Chi and Mia for the series and dogs to Det.
So, where is this all going you are thinking, well, Ill tell ya. Today I bet the Cavs to win the East at +345. Now, assuming I am right and they roll over the two weaker teams in the first round, that puts them in the East finals. Let's assume they play Detroit and Det is -140 for the series. I will then bet Detroit to win that series to win the same amount I wagered on the Cavs. For instance, if I bet $100 on the Cavs at +345, I would then bet $140 to win $100 on Detroit in that series. That way, I now am risking $0 to win $205 on the Cavs winning the East. If Detroit wins, then it was still risking nothing for something.
I think it's a great play and would advise doing it. Let me know what you guys think!
