  • 10* MLB Total and Sides

Its time to emerge with some backbone- so far I have been gambling- this is informed gambling. Catch these rates before they fall -wait on Zona till the fever is at a high pitch.

    Totals Record is 3* 2-2
    10* 1-0
    Sides Record is 5* 1-0

    My Total is on the
    10* SD/Arizona Under 6.5
(hate hooks personally I buy 1/2 point at 5dimes 7.0)
    7* Arizona +169

Peavy is having a great year so far so lets concentrate on Livan. I have noticed that he has flare up games and believe his cycle should favor a quality outing against the Padres today. Livan has pitched 20 innings of work, the veteran right-hander has allowed only 14 hits without surrendering a homerun. Doug Eddings is the Umpire today and he is a predominant Unders Ump. Weather is 60 degrees blowing from first to third base at 8 mph. What makes this work is that Arizona excels in day games and the opposite for SD. The wind favors Arizona as well. Weather does tend to change toward game time but this is the play as for now!

    Trends:
Under is 11-4 in ARI last 15 Thu. games.
Under is 12-5-2 in ARI last 19 road games.
San Diego: Under is 12-3 in SD last 15 games as a favorite.
Under is 8-2 in SD last 10 games following a loss.

    ---------------------------------------------

    My side is on:

    10* St. Louis Cards -106
    against San Fran.
    3* SF/St. Louis Under 8.5

This game is played in the day time and SF is 0-3 in day games and St. Louis can't seem to win anything but day games.
The Cardinals are 4-1 in their last five road games versus a left-handed starter. St. Louis starter Kip Wells is 1-2 with a 2.25 ERA this season and has a great shot of picking up his third victory this afternoon. Wells is 3-2 with a solid 2.87 ERA against them in five starts.
San Francisco starter Noah Lowry is 0-2 with a 4.85 ERA in two career starts against St. Louis. He's allowed nine runs and 18 hits in 13 innings of work. The Giants are 0-7 in Lowry's last seven starts.

St. Louis: Under is 22-4-1 in STL last 27 Thu. games.
Under is 6-2 in STL last 8 road games.
Under is 15-6-1 in STL last 22 overall.

San Francisco: SF are 1-8 in their last 9 games following a win.
SF are 2-9 in their last 11 home games.
Under is 8-2 in SF last 10 games as an underdog.

Spears Sighting- This is a play/input from Oskiem. Hope it helps!

Atlanta Braves (+110) over Chicago Cubs*

                  *Action

This line is predicated upon Rich Hill's numbers since last August which have been outstanding. However, much like last night's game between the Mets and Marlins, the Braves should not be the underdog tonight considering the Cubs are 2-9 as favorites, 9-27 revenging a loss as a road favorite and 5-9 overall this season.

In addition, the Cub's bullpen has been dreadful on the road as evidenced by its 5.82 ERA and 1.471 WHIP wherein they have yielded 17 hits and 12 runs over 17 innings of work. At night, the Cub's bullpen has compiled an alarming 8.00 ERA and 1.556 WHIP.

The Braves are 5-1 as underdogs, 7-3 following a win, 6-0 after a close win by 2 runs or less and 10-6 overall. Again, despite Mark Redman taking the mound, the Braves should not be installed as underdogs tonight. Moreover, Redman is 2-2 with a 2.70 ERA in five career starts against the Cubs.

Finally, Chicago has dropped its last 5 games on the road against left-handed starters and 7 of their last 8 as favorites.

I would like to mention that any of these plays have the propensity to falter and to bet with discipline. I feel strongly about them and know if I was on a losing streak to stop posting or make you aware of it. I also don't post these many plays but since I took the time to really look at them- I presented my thoughts and decided to go after it. Realize that another fine capper Kapt disagrees with the Under in the SD game.
