Well Braden Looper continues to amaze me and I know the first time I back him he will screw me so nothing you can do about that but stay away from now on. ANyway onto today

Gotta play that early game just because...

Bostpn / LA Under 9 When is the last time these guys have had to play a game at 10 am? I just have a feeling that being in the clubhouse around 6am will have its effect on the players and they will not be fully awake for the first half of the game. This should provide few runs and the starters are good enough to hold the opposing team down.

Angels (Santana) +175 A nice price on a good young arm against a guy who was awful last year in Fenway. The Angels pen is better and the early start should make this a tight game, one which the Angels are more likely to pull out than Boston.


Will add more later on in the day for tonight.

Well so much for the tight game theory. Watching this on mlb.tv right now and just praying both pens can leave this at a 7-1 game.

Onto tonight................. I really like one of these.

Baltimore - Loewen +100 The rainout gives Baltimore a day off yesterday and that was much needed. The pitching staff has been hot as of late not giving up more than 4 runs in the last 7 games. The hitting has been hot as well and it looks as if some clutch hits are starting to find their way for Baltimore. The D-Rays taking 2 of 3 in Minnesota leaves good value here. Shields had two solid starts vs Baltimore last season and that is what is making me hesitate on putting more on this. Tampa Bay has not had a day off in 11 days, and is just coming home from a 3-3 road trip and they have to change time zones on the way back. I have a feeling not making it home till at least around 1030/11 should leave the Devil Rays a little tired for today's game at least.

Pittsurgh - Snell +115 Snell had a superb outing against St. Louis not more than a week ago. Had he gotten the slightest bit of run support against Braden Looper, Snell would have gotten a victory. Instead the Pirates suffered a 3-1 loss. While Anthony Reyes is a solid young pitcher for St. Louis, I feel Snell can baffle the Cards again tonight. Hopefully they can give him more than 1 run of support.
