  • Spears 10* GOY Saturday NBA

I know I don't do GOY but this is a no brainer and you have the moment to exercise your will to play a little extra!
We hit the under in the Cleveland game last night and today we can not give away a golden chance to make more money. I realize that your eyes may not be opened quite yet but the Spear is on a true money maker play for you!

515/516 10* GOY Totals Dallas/Portland Under 187 and especially Under ? (my line is not up yet) for the first half.

Don't even hesitate here- Dallas has apparently preached defense and looks to it as a savior to winning the coveted trophy. What they have accomplished the last 2 games is eye opening. It is time to make money before Vegas gets a clue. Defense wins championships- ask Detroit!!!

Whew- I was a bit under the influence when I wrote this. Could spend pages yakking about the dueling piano bar and the stupid people tricks. Gators should not act like that!
I wanted to see if they posted the first half line yet this morning- and the game is not even offered any more.
Do you think they have also caught on to the defensive strategy on this west coast swing from Dallas? Hope not- if so congrats to those that got it in and good luck on the game!

Note: I want to know more on this game so---- I highlight what I can find!

Josh Howard had to watch the Dallas Mavericks' loss on Friday from the sidelines after suffering a sprained ankle. He wants to make sure that doesn't happen again Saturday when Dallas hosts the Portland Trail Blazers.

Howard sprained his right ankle going for a loose ball with 4:40 left in the first quarter of Friday night's 75-71 loss to the Denver Nuggets. He did not return, finishing with just two points.

The forward's 19.2 points per game rank second on the Mavericks, but ankle ailments have hindered him. He missed eight games earlier in the year with a sprained left ankle, and two more in late January after spraining his right ankle.

Howard, however, wasn't limping after the game and said he didn't expect to miss Saturday's contest.

"The ankle is fine," he said. "I"m fine."

Spears opinion--- OK his ankle feels better- but remember- he did not reenter the game last night and he is an integral part of the Dallas machine that needs to be on all cylinders. He may play but I don't think the Coach is willing to take a chance on a severe ankle problem from a useless game with Portland that they should win anyway. Otherwise he would have put him back in when the going got tough last night. "Keep those players healthy- win but don't do anything stupid- the owner tells the Coach- I want a Championship!" My fly on the wall told me that!

The loss meant Dallas (62-13) will not join the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls as the only teams in NBA history to win 70 games. If the Mavericks win out, they can finish with 69.

Friday's 71 points were the fewest the Mavericks have scored this season. The poor offensive night came despite the return of Dirk Nowitzki, who missed Tuesday's 97-93 win at Sacramento because of food poisoning. Nowitzki had 22 points and 12 rebounds Friday.

Dallas has won both meetings against Portland (31-44) this season, and 12 straight overall between the teams. The last matchup was a 99-74 Mavericks victory at home Jan. 10, when Jason Terry had 20 points to lead six Dallas players in double figures.
