parlays.....yeah or nay??? help...

a 2 team parlay odds are 13/5...if you play 18 parlays the
chances are you will win only 5...are parlays a sucker wager?
I had a 3 teamer and missed by 1/2 pt on over Tn....but the
leverage is strong if it hits. When, if ever, is a parlay the way
to go. In reviewing my tallies i would have been better off with
straight wagers. Any thoughts? Thanks (small player).

I've never been a fan of parlays as most players that play them lose on them. It's hard enough to win a straight wager let alone putting together several plays that must hit.

everyone has one.
My view on parlays is in baseball they are a great tool, in baseball you swing the odds in your favor, in other sports they are sucker bets. My point being is, it hard enough to hit one game, you want to try to hit 2, 3 or more? Bookmakers love people that play parlays, the more teams you play in a parlay, the harder for you to connect on a play. You think they are giving you true odds on a parlay? Nope you are not getting the true odds. If you were to parlay your bet it would go something like this, first bet $100wins $100, second bet $200 wins 200 third bet $400 wins $400 a true parlay would win $800 in three bets, were a 3 team parlay pays only 5-1 The book has a big edge in parlays, not only does he not pay true odds, you also have to win all your bets.

I couldn't agree with you more . I play parlay's in baseball but won't touch them in any other sport. If there is three teams I like in all sports other then baseball I will play single bets why ?. Because normally you will hit two out if three meaning. You would lose the parlay, but single plays you would win two out of three and win money. But like Wiz said opinion are like assholes.

I'm the same way too. I didn't parlay College Hoops or Most other sports but i think you have to in baseball but still no more than 2 teams in a parlay.
