  • stupid question but please answer

    hey im trying to understand something. If a team is -160 i know that if you bet 160 you will win 100. Now by using a calculator what must i do to determine exactly how much i get if i bet just say $55 for example?
    The Mullet
    Regular play= 5% of bankroll 13-3
    Medium Play=10% of bankroll 4-3
    Strong play=20% of bankroll 10-5
    YTD= 27-11 +160%

    160/100 = 55/?
    55x100/160= $34.38

          exactly.....

          Take the 100 and add a 0 to enable you to divide 160 into it....

          thus: 1000 divided by 160 = 6.25....

          Now take the amt wagered $55 times that and you get 34.375...

          Rounds off to 34.38.....

          Thanks both of you guys for helping out....kapt

          PS---not a stupid question at all.....I'm sure many others will benefit from this formula....One only learns by asking, comprehending, and retaining....kapt

              If you have an offshore, just click in "Risk"(in your case $55 or what you want to risk)for the team in question, and the site will tell you how much you will win if you choose to bet.
