Strange start to the season for me, as most of my games were blowouts, with the exception of the Rockies blowing the lead in the 8th, and I guess the Devil Rays loss, but I knew they were done - even while Tampa was winning - when Kazmir couldn't make it out of the 6th.
Sides (3-3, +0.56*)
Cardinals -105 (KW/OH) - The Cardinals struggled in the opener against Glavine, which isn't surprising, considering how much trouble lefties gave them last season. They get a much easier opponent here in El Duque, and the Cards have killed righties in home night games the past couple seasons. The price is cheap because Wells is an unknown, but I think he will have a pretty good year in St. Louis.
Orioles +120 (DC/BB) - Daniel Cabrera is the guy I most expect to have a breakout season. He's got all the tools except control, and I think that now that he has been working with Leo for a year, he masters that enough to become a 15-game winner for Baltimore. He certainly has better stuff than Boof Bonser, and while betting against the Twins at the Metrodome is generally a losing proposition, the Orioles lineup is strong enough to score plenty, and the price is just too good to pass up.
Totals (0-1, -1.20*)
Dodgers/Brewers Over 8 +100 (RW/CC) - Well, the Big Cap is my third favorite pitcher, and he has made me a lot of money the past couple years. He has been especially good at home, but I have to think some runs will be scored in this one, as these were two of the best teams in baseball against LHP last season. Wolf isn't particularly consistent, and I can easily see the Brewers repeating their outburst of today, while the Dodgers should have more success.
All lines posted from BetJamaica for record purposes, though I sometimes play games at other outlets. Best of luck everyone!
