i forgot about how bad astros are at producing runs and closing games. they screwed me a lot last year. them, devil rays, and royals probly the top 3 teams that mucked me a bad one last season...

Here's the problem:

They just re-signed Lidge in the off season for about $5M per. What do you do with the guy? That's an awful lot for a setup guy, and his trade value is nil, and the other closer candidates, Wheeler and Lidge, gave up long foul almost homers and two-run HRs respectively, so its not like Garner has a lot of options.

This isn't "Day 1" as far as Lidge goes blowing games buddy. I think alot of people thought new season, new start for Lidge and this proves whether it is day one or day fifty, some things never change!

Lidge was such a dominant closer year before last. Someone just turned the switch off on that futher mucker. I don't know. We've had this conversation before and will probably have it several times over the course of the season. Shiiit! I didn't take the game but I am a Stros fan. Oswalt is nails. And Wheeler is an outstanding reliever. Outside that I'm not sure who from their staff will step up this year.

lidge's career is riding on that pujols HR that he hit off him 2yrs ago. that ball still hasnt landed. guy hasnt been the same sense
