In Greece Outside The Stadium At A Womens Volleyball Game

A Little Backstory Here. There Are Two Major Popular Teams In Greece . Olympiakos, And Panathanaikos. These Two Teams Dominate In Every Sports ( Soccer, Basketball Etc. ) And They Fans Are Very Supportve And Hate Each Other. When The Teams Play Together In Soccer The Home Team Doesnt Allow Thr Rival Fans In Easch Others Stadiums.these Teams Were The Ones Playing In The Volleyall Game. Now I Could Somewhat Understand This Happening In Europe During Soccer Or Basketball Games, But Womans Volleyball???!!!

I Went To A Soccer Game In Greece About 12 Years Ago. It Was Insane. People Carry Pipes, Baseball Bats, Knives, Etc. Of Course They Are Not Allowed To Bring These Into The Stadium , So They Have To Get Inventive.

guys, I Had To Dodge Potatoes With Razor Blades Stuck In Them!!! Lol

They Were Throwing Fucking Patatoes With Razor Bladed Stuck In Them!!!!

So, All Sporting Events Are Now Cancelled In Greece For Two Weeks Because Of This Event.

Man killed ahead of volleyball match
A 25-year-old man was killed and fifty other people were injured during hooligan violence in Athens on Thursday, before a match was to take place between the women's volleyball teams of Olympiakos Piraeus and Panathinaikos Athens for the Greek Cup.
The tragic event occurred in Lavriou avenue in the Athens suburb of Peania and the young man, who died before an ambulance could arrive to rush him to hospital, was run over by a car during scuffling in the motorway. Fifty other people were injured and taken to an Athens hospital for treatment.

According to eyewitnesses, two people were riding in the car and its driver increased its speed and plowed through the scuffle in his effort to get away when his car was beginning to be bashed. Both the driver and the passenger were arrested.

One of the persons injured is a 22-year-old soccer player of fourth division club Marko, who had nothing to do with the incident, but who was attecked by Olympiakos fans outside a toys shop because his shirt was green (the colour of the Panathinaikos club). The perpetrators stabbed him in the thigh in a car and snatched his mobile phone from him.

Three shops in the area were damaged during the disturbances, as well as two cars, while 18 people were held for questioning.
