Kaptain's 2007 KonSenseUs Kruise Is Back
It’s that time of year again and the Kaptain’s KonSenseUs Kruise is ready to set sail. The Kaptain has gathered his krew, and has loaded down the kruise ship with supplies (Lots Of Rum).
Last year, the Kruise didn't last too long, but we'll try it again this year!!! It takes lots of members to participate to get a good tally on the games. The first year we had an awesome record going into the All Star Break.
For those of you who do not know what the KonSenseUs Kruise is, I’ll explain......
It’s called the KonSenseUs because it is for EVERYONE here. It is for US and by US. Every member is welcomed on the Kruise!!!!
Everyday during the MLB season, every member is asked to give his or her 1 best MLB play of the day (POD). It can be a side or total, and you may even use the 1.5 run line. Because of the online gambling ban, the -1 & +1 run lines have been ommited from the Kruise. Not many people will be able to play them, so they won't be counted in this year's Kruise.
The lines will be posted the night before in the KonSenseUs Kruise thread to give everyone a chance to post their POD in that thread. All tallies will be made 1 hour before the games start and posted accordingly in the Kruise thread. Everyone is asked to get his or her POD’s in at least 1 hour before the game starts.
Daytime game tallies will be posted 1 hour before the games start. All night time game tallies will be posted by 5:00 CDT.
Lines from Pinnacle will be used. Teams with a money line over 154 will not be used, as the members of the first year’s Kruise had voted that 155 was just too much Vig to lay on one team.
When there are day and night games, it is possible that the Kruise will post 2 POD’s. It will just depend on the member’s picks. The Kaptain will keep track of the Kruise’s records, and will post them everyday.
This year the KonSenseUs Kruise thread was given a “Sticky” in All Sports. (Spark, Wayne, & Monte were really good to us last year) It made it easy for everyone to find the thread to post his or her play.
It takes at least a 4-0 member’s picks on a side or total to make a POD. The highest member’s pick will be the Kruise’s POD. Here is a chart on how the Kruise determines its plays:
Must be at least a (4*) Play to be a POD. Highest (*) games is the POD, all others are regular plays.
1-0 = (1*), 2-0 = (2*), 3-0 = (3*), and so on
1-1, 2-1, 3-1, = (No PLAY), 4-1 = (1*), 5-1 = (2*), 6-1 = (3*), 7-1 = (4*), 8-1 = (5*), 9-1 = (6*), 10-1 = (7*), 11-1 = (8*), 12-1 = (9*), 13-1 = (10*), 14-1 = (11*), 15-1 = (12*)

The first year the Kruise did really well before the all star break. We had lots of members participating and we had a great turn out of plays. We also had lots of laughs in the Kruise thread. The Kruise began slipping after the break due to lack of members posting plays. MLB is a lonomittedg season, and I guess members got tired of posting their best play.
All we ask of the members of the Kruise is 4 things …
1) Post only 1 play per day along with the current line for the game.
2) Keep and post your own record with every play. We work on an honor system on the Kruise.
3) No bashing of other members in the Kruise!!! The Kaptain does not like rude people on his ship!!!
4) Have fun and enjoy the trip!!!
