WHAT'S UP WITH MY BOOK? ANAHEIM STARTED AT -168 AND HAS DROPPED TO 162. WHY WOULD EVERYONE BE ON THE TIGGERS TODAY?

Bonderman is probably their best pitcher, besides he has 6 of their 31 total wins

Detroit is the right side here........

Take a look at Ortiz's last 3 starts compared to Bonderman's last 3 starts......

Two pitchers going in opposite directions.......
        DUFF sisters or OLSON sisters?

According to units won and lost, Detroit is -43.5 for season;there is no one even close to them.
They can win, but I bet there is is virtually no one who can honestly say they are ahead when betting on Detroit this year providing they have bet a respectable number of times on them.

            animals write up---

In his last three home starts Detroit probable Jeremy Bonderman is 3-0 defeating the White Sox and Colon 4-2, Kansas City and Snyder 5-1, and Oakland with Zito 3-2. The last time I checked, Chicago, KC, and Oakland were all still in the running for an AL playoff spot unlike Anaheim. Keep in mind the Tigers secured eight hits and received three walks against Ramon Ortiz in Anaheim last week. The Angels are 4-16 on the road in their last 20 games (4-15 since the all-star break). They have no business laying this kind of wood on the highway without Eckstein, Erstad, and Glaus (all on disabled list). I know it takes a ton of guts to go with a team that’s 31-95 like the Tigers. Lord knows we’ve won a ton of dough this year going against the Tigers. I bet against them in Vegas all three games earlier this week when they played Texas. I have a gut feeling about Detroit actually winning a game tonight.

Wiz-betting on Detroit or against Detroit?
                Betting against Tigers doesn't count.
I simply don't believe that anyone could say even spot bet Tigers over the season and be ahead(if you bet them maybe only 2 or 3 times, it is possible) but with -43.5 units, it tells me they are a losing proposition.
People who have given 1 1/2 runs going against them consisently are much better off than thiose betting on them.

To me betting the Tigers is more like trying to be the hero than anything else by trying to show you can be one of the lucky ones to cash in when this miserable team actually gets lucky enough to win a game.
Believe me if the Balt. team of many years back could lose 20+ straight games at the beginning of the season, this Tiger team(the worst since the fifties since I started following baseball), could easily equal that.
The 44.5 units lost on betting on them equally each game says it all, and I do not believe anyone is ahead betting on them if they have bet on them at least 20 times during the season;obviously betting against them has been fun and profitable.
Maybe Tigers will win tomorrow for anyone chasing them(I can't imagine anyone doing this, but I am sure there are some), but maybe then again, this was their best chance tonight, and more likely the losing will continue tomorrow.

                      I agree

I myself have won alot of money against the tigers. Also I will be against them bigtime tomorrow. Washburn isn't the best pitcher in the world but he will have the right stuff to shut them down. Also the tigers rookie that got lucky in his first outing again Texas earlier this week won't do the same tomorrow. The Angels bats will beat him down. With a line of -170 having Washburn VS Nate Robertson and the 31-96 tigers. I will take those odds seven days a week.

Homer-do you think it would be wise tomorrow to give the 1 1/2 runs or play it safe and a strict moneyline?
Sometimes I divide my bet in half-half on ml and half giving 1 1/2 runs.
If they win by 1, you usually break about even but obviously save if Tigers get lucky and win.

                          WELL...

I'M GLAD I ENDED UP PLAYING THE ANGELS. I WAS JUST SHOCKED AT HOW FAST THE LINE DROPPED AND BY HOW MUCH. THE LINE AT MY BOOK ENDED UP AT 145. I WAS LOOKING FOR A REASON THAT WAS BONAFIDE, SUCH AS WHO WAS PUTTING MONEY ON THE TIGGERS THAT IS VERY WELL KNOWN. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A LINE MOVE THAT MUCH IN SUCH A SHORT TIME. I THANK EVERYONE FOR THEIR INPUT, EVEN THOUGH I WENT THE OTHER WAY WITH THE ANGELS.

I would rather bet the odds that there will be a blizzard at the equator tomorrow then to bet the toothless tigers.

You should be safe on the run line. Myself I always play the straight line. But today Anaheim and Washburn will hand it to Detroit in a big way. I still don't understand it that line has moved from -170 last night to -165 already this morning. In my post I will put some stats about this game and matchup. I love Anaheim today.
