They're going to fuck up Papelbon's arm. Relieving is much harder on the arm than starting. I predict he has Tommy John surgery within 2 years.

I would rather see him out of the pen for 75 innings over pitching 200 while starting. He doesn't know how to pace himself and he throws just as hard when he starts. Less innings is better imo.

this is really great for the sox IMO they should have left him as the closer from day 1. the guy was AUTOMATIC shit i didnt even watch 1/2 the time. i'd shut the TV off and go to bed when he came in. and you cant say that about anyone but MO and Gagne in his hay day.
