    Six-Pack for Tuesday

Cleaning up the college basketball weekend.........

-- Kevin Durant finishes as second all-time freshman scorer in NCAA history, behind Chris Jackson (LSU 1990), ahead of James (Fly) Williams (Austin Peay 1973)

-- For the first time since 1979, there is only one ACC team in the Sweet 16.

-- Have the ACC, Big East hurt their basketball programs by expanding their leagues?

-- Nevada's Nick Fazekas missed the WAC's all-time scoring record, held by Danny Ainge, by three points.

-- Only four of teams in Sweet 16 were here last year; none of those four was there in 2005

-- Seven of the teams in last year's Sweet 16 didn't make the tournament this season.

                      NC State at West Virginia
The Wolfpack have continued their late-season surge that saw them beat Duke, Virginia and Virginia Tech at the ACC Tournament and then knock off mid-major darling Drexel on the road in the first round of the NIT. The only loss during that span was a respectable 89-80 defeat against higher-rated North Carolina in the ACC Final. West Virginia has opened up the NIT with relatively easy home wins over Delaware State (74-50) and UMass (90-77). But neither of those were playing at the caliber of NC State, which has done much of its work lately away from home. The Wolfpack look like a good underdog pick in this one (+6 1/2) according to Dunkel, which has the game even. Dunkel Pick: NC State (+6 1/2). Here are all of today's games.

                            Denver at New Jersey
There are signs in Denver that the A.I.-Carmelo experiment are beginning to work. The Nuggets come into tonight's contest riding a four-game winning streak capped off by an impressive 131-107 whipping of Phoenix on Saturday. Iverson had 44 points and 15 assists, while Anthony "chipped in" with 29 points in by far the duo's best performance of the season. The Nets have won three of four, but the caliber of wins against the Clippers, Hornets and Grizzlies is below where Denver is playing right now. The Nuggets look like a good underdog pick (+1) in this one according to Dunkel, which has Denver favored straight up by 4 1/2. Dunkel Pick: Denver (+1). Here are all of today's games.
