  • UCLA/Pitt CBB

This looks to be the game later in the week to make some money. For Pitt we have to see how these folks are coming along. As I mentioned yesterday in taking the inferior Va Comm. team in the second half against Pitt was due mainly to the knee injury that Cook suffered and helped off the floor at the end of the first half. He returned but his play was not the same. Since he had a Knee Support on already- I would say the knee was reinjured and is weak.
Cook is one of two players averaging double figures and gives Pitt a great presence in defending the oppositions ability to knock down 3's.
    Something UCLA enjoys.
I will keep up with his rehab info and see if he is in much shape to play- or if anyone else finds info- Kudo's to you.
Taking UCLA at this number and I believe it will climb. Again this is based solely on the ineffectiveness of Cook in a big time game.

    Thursday
    668 UCLA -3

    Pitt Present Injuries
    Aaron Gray C Day-to-Day (Virus)
Mike Cook G Day-to-Day (Knee injury)

"That's why I was so down on myself," Cook said. "I know as I go, the team goes."

Pitt is my favorite team, but I have UCLA in my brackets....this will be tough to watch but I really think UCLA is the better team and Pitt has had too many problems at the foul line. Shit - for 10 minutes, they couldn't even get the ball inbounds against VCU, and UCLA can play better defense than VCU can. Only giving 3 points does seem solid here.

It's going to be UCLA & Kansas! What a contrast in styles should be exciting to watch!
