Thursday 500** Interdivisional G.O.Y

Ya know, that kind of thing usually happens alot. A very good capper that does extremely well over time, puts out a big play,(or several in a month,year,etc) and it (they) goes down in flames.
They are still up for the year,but putting out "big" games,such as "GOY's" are usually losers.
And I,knowing this, blindly bet his Cubs play.
That's why I try and stick to an equal amount of $$$ wagered on every game I bet.
Occassionally I step it up by 50%, NO MORE than that on my big plays. But for the most part, I stick to the same amount.
Seems to work for me.
I wish nothing but success for Tipster.

the Tipster

does not appear to come up with his own plays; rather, he relays big money plays that he somehow gets "tips" of; hence the moniker. It does no good to bash or bitch about him, because he's not the one making the wagers. If you heard that a high roller just dropped $14,000 on the Cubs to win $10,000, wouldn't you jump on without asking any questions? Or at least be strongly tempted to do so?

That being said, this play was a fucking joke--one of the stupidest ones I can recall this year. There is no way I would have laid -140 with a light-hitting Cubs team, against a decent pitcher (Vallone), ON THE ROAD MIND YOU, WITH KERRY WOOD, WHO IS THE MOST FUCKING OVERPRICED PITCHER IN BASEBALL, WHO HAS BEEN LIT UP 3 STARTS IN A ROW (NOW FOUR). . . if I hadn't seen this play and blindly jumped on. I might even have taken Houston at that price, but I probably would have laid off this game.

The Tipster has been giving out some very nice freebies (have you all forgotten about Milwaukee last night?) but the irony is that the 400 and 500 star plays haven't been hitting, while the 100 and 200 stars have. Milwaukee last night was the freaking play of the year, yet it was only rated a 200 star.

You do solid work, Tipster, and I and most everyone else thank you for the free bones you toss out every now and then. I just hope the idiot who blew his load on the Cubs tonight and prompted this play lost his entire season MLB bankroll on it.
