  • Proof of fixed NBA game?

    Phoenix came out at -3.5, then dropped to -1.5. No one on the team is hurt or out. They are arguably the top team in the Western Conference.

    Now, they are losing 70-44 at the half after getting blown out last night....someone must have known something. Have they clinched? Or did some HUGE money go on Denver today because Phoenix announced they weren't going to play hard tonight? This one smells awfully funny....how could a line move that much and the team's performance fall right in line. This is an NBA team...makes no sense.

    Yes it does, you basically summed it up in that statement.

        Third game in four nights; Dallas took a lot out of them; Denver hot; off Dallas-Detroit back to back. Maybe. Also, they lost 3 straight last month, all of which were ATS losses of 19> points EACH. It could happen, I dont' think it was fixed.

          all sports and 80% of games vegas has their hand in it.. Think about it, why when 90% of people on a game it always loses.. wtf is up with that ,,
          The Mullet
          Regular play= 5% of bankroll 13-3
          Medium Play=10% of bankroll 4-3
          Strong play=20% of bankroll 10-5
          YTD= 27-11 +160%

            It just seems that way. If that were completely true, then you woudn't have to bother handicapping games. You could just go against the public when 90% of them were on one side. I know it seems that way, but in the end it still evens out; sometimes the public gets it right (or gets lucky, however you want to look at it).

              All I know is that I generally stay away from games like Pitt. yesterday when there were a ton of big name services on them with big plays.
              It seems in more cases than not funny things seem to happen to ensure that the chosen team does not happen.
              I am not saying games like that are fixed, but for a lack of a better term, there seems many times some kind of bad karma in games like that;as stated I just don't like going with the play with so many people(many of whom are bigtime losers)on the popular side.
              In this particular game I had a hunch that Pitt. would win but not cover, so I played a couple of teasers(which I rarely play) and won.
              My opinion is also based on many years of gambling and my own personal bad luck playing these big public games until the last few years when I smartened up and stayed away for the most part.
