    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#8 North Carolina vs. Boston College (1:30 PM ET)
The Tar Heels, who shared the regular season title with Virginia, haven't made an ACC tournament final since 2001 and haven't won the crown since 1998, when they won the second of back-to-back titles. EDGE: BOSTON COLLEGE
Boston College beat the Tar Heels both times last season, including an 85-82 victory in last year's semifinals before losing to Duke. North Carolina won 77-72 on the road on Feb. 17 in the teams' only meeting this year. SLIGHT EDGE: BOSTON COLLEGE
North Carolina became the first higher seed to win a game in the tournament after lower-seeded teams won all four games during Thursday's opening round. The victory also helped the team's push to receive a No. 1 seed in next week's NCAA tournament. EDGE: UNC

#1 Ohio State vs. Purdue (1:40 PM ET)
Friday's win was Ohio State's 15th straight and 28th overall on the season, breaking the previous school mark of single-season victories set in 1960-61 and equaled in 1990-91. EDGE: OHIO ST
A tournament title would help Ohio State's case for the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament. EDGE: OHIO ST
Purdue strengthened their case for an NCAA berth on Friday by beating fourth-seeded Iowa 74-55 in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten tournament on Friday. EDGE: PURDUE

#2 Kansas vs. Kansas State (2 PM ET)
Kansas has won 34 of the last 35 games against in-state rival Kansas State, including a 5-0 record in the Big 12 tournament. BIG EDGE: KANSAS
This is Kansas State's first appearance in the semifinals since 1999 when it lost to Kansas 69-58. The Wildcats are trying for their first championship appearance since 1993, when they lost to Missouri in the old Big Eight Conference. On the other hand, Kansas has won four conference titles. EDGE: KANSAS

#9 Georgetown vs. #13 Pittsburgh (ESPN | 9 PM ET)
These teams met less than two weeks ago, when Georgetown used a last 8-2 run to earn a 61-53 home win over Pittsburgh. Aaron Gray returned from an ankle injury in that game for the Panthers and totaled 10 points and six rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench. Gray played just eight points in 13 minutes on Friday night due to foul trouble and will have a hard time avoiding that scenario again against the Hoyas. EDGE: GEORGETOWN
Both teams needed to rally back from double-digit deficits on Friday night, so depth could be a huge factor here. Four Panthers logged 30 or more minutes in the semis compared to six Hoyas who totaled 21 or more. EDGE: GEORGETOWN
Automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament on the line along with a potential #1 seed for Georgetown.

New York had lost four in a row on the road before winning in Atlanta last week. The Knicks are 11-20 away from Madison Square Garden. EDGE: WIZARDS

Atlanta Thrashers at Florida Panthers (7:30 PM ET)
The Thrashers will look to win a club-record sixth straight game tonight, as they've won five straight on four separate occasions since their inaugural season in 1999-2000. EDGE: THRASHERS
Atlanta has won all six meetings against Florida this season and is 11-2-1 against the Panthers since the start of last season. BIG EDGE: THRASHERS

                      Dunkel

                      Minnesota at Atlanta
The Hawks have gotten some bad news with reports that star guard Joe Johnson may be out for the season with a deep bruise in his right calf. But that hasn't stopped Atlanta from finding ways to win as they beat the Wizards (100-97) on Wednesday behind Zaza Pachulia's 27 points and added another win over Memphis (106-105) last night on Josh Smith's late three-point play. The T'wolves have not been as resourceful as they have dropped four of their last five overall and seven straight on the road. Atlanta looks like a good home underdog pick (+3) in this one according to Dunkel, which has the Hawks favored straight up by 2 1/2. Dunkel Pick: Atlanta (+3). Here are all of today's games.

In two games, Vermont was 37-61 from foul line, Albany was just 17-33 (and just 7-33 from arc); in the game at Albany, Great Danes were 1-3 from line, Vermont 21-31. Albany beat Vermont in this game last year, but game was in New York. Vermont won this tournament two years ago, beating Northeastern here.

                          NY Rangers at Pittsburgh
The Rangers have picked up the pace lately and were even able to overcome a vicious clothesline from the Islanders' Chris Simon on Ryan Hollweg to beat their rivals (2-1) on Thursday for their third straight win and fifth straight game with at least a point. The Penguins are coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to New Jersey on Thursday and have dropped five of their last nine overall. The Rangers look like a good underdog pick in this one according to Dunkel, which has New York favored straight up by 1/2 a goal. Dunkel Pick: NY Rangers (+1 1/2). Here are all of today's games.

                            Arkansas vs. Mississippi State
One bubble team that is doing all it can to stay in contention for the NCAAs is Arkansas. The Razorbacks closed out the regular season with wins over Mississippi State and Vanderbilt (snapping Vandy's 13-game home winning streak), and followed that up with conference tourney victories over South Carolina (82-52) and the Commodores again (72-71). Yesterday's win over the Vandy came on a Gary Ervin jump shot with just 11 second left and secured the Hogs first slot in the SEC semis since 2001. Ervin was the nemesis when these two teams met on Feb. 28 as the former MSU player lit up the Bulldogs for 20 points in a 67-58 win. Ervin and the Hogs look to be a hot combo right now and should take advantage of their underdog status (+1 1/2) according to Dunkel, which has Arkansas favored straight up by 3 1/2. Dunkel Pick: Arkansas (+1 1/2). Here are all of today's games.
