  • BC Smart Tank - Betting Strategies!

What is the best way to bet a 50/50 proposition with a succession of bets to be successful. The number of times you can bet is say 4 or 5x in succession on a particular run! Realizing that most in the field will say -keep your bets minimum and 3-5 % of your stash but what other options are available given that the vig is constantly being upped by the sportsbooks whether a fav or a dog?

One manner is the martindale method - but most say it doesn't work- any other strategies out there!

Well - just for one- Lets look at the anti-Martingale strategy

The Anti-Martingale betting strategy is the opposite of the better known Martingale approach. In a classic Martingale betting style, gamblers will increase their bets after each loss in hopes that an eventual win will recover all previous losses.
The Anti-Martingale approach instead increases bets after wins, while reducing them after a loss. In this manner, the gambler will benefit from a winning streak or a "hot hand", while reducing the losses while "cold" or otherwise having a losing streak.

One activity where money management based on an Anti-Martingale approach has a recognized value is on Sporting events which have some cyclical component to them. Dogs vs favs, Public opinion vs play agaist public opinion, reverse line angles vs unreverse line angles, overs vs unders, etc. Using an anti-martingale risk management scheme will increase profits during time periods when an approach is working well, and conversely the opposite.

So what does betting more after a win and less after a loss provide you and how much more after a win and how much less after a loss should you bet? Enquiring minds want to know- Any thoughts on this would be advantageous to all!
