ok guys hit my biggest hoops play YTD last night as siena won outright over marist and niagara won easily vs loyola. now onto the maac finals. Records are updated below. enough of my BS here is what i got for tonight.

***Note. Siena played a great game last night as expected. But the team was very emotional after finally defeating marist. I think it will be very difficult for siena to turn around in 1 day and beat a niagara team that is on FIRE right now. siena has beaten niagara in both contests this year by DD and covered both contests. So on paper siena IMO should be 5-6pt favorites tonight. Fact is Niagara has won 10 straight games and are a completely different team then siena faced earlier in the year. Niagara hasnt lost a game since the end of january.
Also note Niagara hasnt defeated Siena since feb 2005. last 4 meetings siena has won. Perfect opportunity to back niagara here as they have it going and i expect siena to come out flat here. BACK the purple eagles tonight!!!!!

only seniors on siena team are Haddocks who is their best player and Ryan who is decent. all the others are underclassman. ie hasbrouck soph,ubiles fresh, fisher jr. siena has a solid young team. as far as coaches go. i like siena coach mcCaffery.

well more fans from albany will travel to CT than fans from buffalo. its about 2hrs to fairfield,ct from albany, its about 6hrs from buffalo. if anything it will favor siena slightly. IMO not enough to make a difference either way. siena wont get as many fans driving the 2hrs to CT cause tonight @ times union center here in albany we have the Section 2 highschool boys class A hoops finals. winner goes to state tourny. CBA 23-0 ranked #2 in NYS behind Rice in NYC vs. bishop magin who only has 2 losses on the year. expecting around 8k fans for that game. high school hoops up here is hugh. that game is @ 7pm and siena game is @ 9. so lots will go to the high school game then watch siena on espn2.

Good write up but I just can't imagine either team being flat having the opportunity to get to the dance. They maybe tired but in these smaller one bid conferences I think you see maximum effort from both teams

i agree but IMO regardless siena should still get a NIT bid win or lose tonight, and NIT might mean nothing to many but its great for siena. flat might not be right word, but let down here is what i expect tonight in regards of siena. it will be a close game and it could go either way. Right now i side with niagara for the reasons i listed above. GL
