    Six-Pack for Monday

I'll be going over all 30 major league teams, giving stats on each of them, as we heads towards the 2007 season......... today, we look at the Philadelphia Phillies.

-- Freddy Garcia is 6-2, 3.11 in nine playoff starts, which is big part of why the Phillies traded for him.

-- Jimmy Rollins, Chase Utley were first-ever DP duo to hit 25+ homers in same season.

-- Adam Eaton ranks fourth on all-time list, he has made 144 career starts without throwing a shutout.

-- Ryan Howard knocked in 41 runs in August, the most by any player in any month since 1962.

-- Phillies won 45 games after All-Star break, most in the NL.

-- Pat Burrell was called out on strikes 63 times, leading the big leagues for second year in row.

Monday's List of 13: Wrapping up a sports weekend.......

      13) Weird situation for North Carolina Sunday; they got top seed in ACC tournament by beating Duke, but had they lost, they would have been #5 seed, and wouldn't have a bye.

      12) Middle Tennessee, the 9-seed in the Sun Belt, upset the #1 seed South Alabama, handing struggling Jaguars an early ending to their NCAA hopes, having lost last four games. As top seed, South Alabama still goes to the NIT.

      11) Sun Belt played five games on campus sites, then had the five survivors and top three seeds meet in Lafayette for next two rounds. Problem is, UL-Lafayette lost in first round, so it is playing two rounds of games in a quiet gym. Not good.

      10) Of course, you couldn't find those games on TV anyway; with two OT games and another upset in quarters, we missed out on some good TV. Sun Belt winner isn't going to get real high seed. Western Kentucky would seem to be best hope, in terms of name recognition.

      9) Kentucky hasn't beaten a ranked team this year; last time they went whole season without doing so was 1974.

      8) First game of SEC tournament, the 1pm Thursday game, is Kentucky-Alabama. Not what you'd expect from a preliminary game, but I'm glad I have Thursday afternoon off.

      7) Florida is first-ever SEC team to win six games in a row vs Kentucky. UK Nation isn't happy, whether justified or not

      6) Drexel is rooting like hell for Virginia Commonwealth in the CAA final Monday; a George Mason win kicks out one of the more deserving at-large candidates, of which Drexel is one. This week will be unbelievably long for the Dragons.

      5) Santa Clara guard Brody Angley scored 74 TDs in his high school days, as a running back in northern California.

      4) Patriot, America East got finals they wanted, as Albany is going to Vermont, and Holy Cross is facing Bucknell. These are top two teams in both leagues, so it should be good stuff

      3) Four-way playoff for Honda Classic was suspended due to darkness; Boo Weekley missed a 3-foot putt on 18 that would have given him his first Tour title. Jose Coceres in his second playoff in as many weeks; he lost to Fred Funk last week.

      2) Duke is the #7 seed in ACC tournament; imagine being #2 seed, getting the bye, then facing Duke in your first game?

      1) I'd be surprised if Duke doesn't suspend the Henderson kid for more than one game; only he knows his intent, but when you look at the replay, it looks incredibly malicious. I would think suspending him for either two games, or for entire ACC tournament, would be a fair penalty.

Nebraska is 1-4 in last five games, with only win in OT; they're 3-4 at home in Big 12 play. Tough time to play this rescheduled game, since both sides have to play in Big 12 tournament Thursday.

North Texas rallied from 12 down at half in OT win vs UL-Monroe; they've won five of last six games, are 7-3-1 vs spread in last eleven games as Sun Belt favorite.

-- Arkansas State won last five games, by 8,3,6,11,7; they beat Western Kentucky 76-75 at home Jan 25 (-1), holding WKU to 39% from floor. Hilltoppers won four of last five games; eight of their last 12 were decided by five or less points. Both teams had a bye in first round; Western had tougher game Sunday.

        WCC finals
-- Gonzaga is 5-2 since losing Heytveldt; they'll try for fast pace vs huge Santa Clara frontline playing for Coach Davey, who is being forced out by school, despite a winning record. Broncos are 10-3 in last thirteen games; they ended Gonzaga's 50-game home winning streak 84-73 Feb 12 (+7), after losing at home to Zags 77-69 Jan 13 (+4).

        MAAC finals
-- Siena beat Niagara twice this year, 81-69 at home Dec 9 (-8), in game Fisher missed, then 92-81 on road Jan 5 (+1.5), after the Eagles got Fisher back. Saints won nine of their last ten games; Niagara won ten in a row- Eagles are just 19-59 from arc in this tournament, but had rebounding edges of +17/+21 in easy wins over Rider, Loyola. Siena's win last night was emotional, first one vs Marist in last seven tries- how do they bounce back?

Houston Rockets at Cleveland Cavaliers (7 PM) EST
Houston center Yao Ming is expected to return to the lineup for the first time since December after missing 32 games with a broken leg. EDGE: ROCKETS
Cleveland star LeBron James has struggled against Houston in his career, averaging just 19.9 points - his lowest mark against any opponent. BIG EDGE: ROCKETS
While James has struggled against the Rockets, Tracy McGrady has topped the 30-point mark in six of his seven meetings with the Cavs star - averaging 31.1 points in those games. Houston has won six of its last seven matchups with Cleveland, including three straight visits to Quicken Loans Arena. BIG EDGE: ROCKETS
The UNDER is 5-1 in the last six meetings.

Golden State Warriors at Detroit Pistons (7:30 PM ET)
Golden State beat Detroit 111-79 at home on November 11th for its largest margin of victory this season. The Pistons, who had won the previous five meetings between the teams, were held to their fewest points against the Warriors since 1964 and will undoubtedly be seeking revenge. EDGE: PISTONS
The Warriors haven't won since an overtime victory against the Grizzlies on February 21st and are coming off their sixth straight defeat, Sunday's 107-106 loss at Washington. Golden State may suffer a huge letdown after head coach Don Nelson picked up a technical foul, allowing Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas to win the game at the free-throw line. EDGE: PISTONS

Atlanta Hawks at Miami Heat (7:30 PM ET)
The Heat have won eight straight at American Airlines Arena on Monday and will face an Atlanta Hawks team that they haven't loss to at home in five years. BIG EDGE: HEAT
Miami center Shaquille O'Neal is averaging 22 points and 9.4 rebounds in five games since Dwyane Wade was injured after averaging 15.4 and 6.6 in his first eight games back in the lineup following left knee surgery. EDGE: HEAT
The Hawks have been outscored by 14 points per game in losing their last four road contests and have dropped five straight overall from Philips Arena. EDGE: HEAT
Atlanta is 1-8 ATS in the last nine meetings in Miami.

San Antonio Spurs at Los Angeles Clippers (10:30 PM ET)
San Antonio has won 11 of its last 12 against the Clippers, including both meetings this season. The Spurs are 31-5 against Los Angeles since drafting Tim Duncan in 1997. BIG EDGE: SPURS
The Spurs are allowing a league-low 90 points per game on the season and are holding opponents to just 81.1 in their eight-game winning streak. EDGE: UNDER
Los Angeles has won 12 of its last 16 home games, including four in a row. EDGE: CLIPPERS
The UNDER is 11-1-1 in the last 13 meetings in Los Angeles.

                  Atlanta at Miami
If Miami is to make a run to the playoffs without Dwyane Wade, they will need Shaquille O'Neal to step up his game. Based on the big man's performance against Detroit on Saturday, he appears ready to do that. O'Neal had by far his best game of the season with 31 points and 15 rebounds in an 85-82 grudge match win over the Pistons. Since Wade went down, Shaq has averaged 22.0 points and 9.4 boards compared to the 15.4 and 6.6 totals before the injury. Those numbers have also translated into wins as the Heat have gone 3-2 without Wade. Wins are something the Hawks have not been able to find on the road lately as they've lost their last four by an average margin of 14.0 points and dropped five straight overall. The Heat look like a good pick to cover the Vegas line (-6) in this one according to Dunkel, which has Miami favored by 12 1/2. Dunkel Pick: Miami (-6). Here are all of today's games.

The Islanders have dominated the season series so far with a 4-0-0 mark and outscoring the Rangers 18-10. The Isles also come in having won five of their last six overall, including a 6-2 win over the Caps on Saturday in which New York matched a season high with three power-play goals. Oklahoma State at Nebraska
Just as it looked like the Cowboys were going to pick up a much-needed win over Kansas State, team-leader Mario Boggan head-butted Cartier Martin. As a result, Boggan was suspended for Saturday's game against Baylor, a contest OSU lost by four points (86-82) and all but sealed their fate of not making the NCAAs. But Boggan should be back tonight and JamesOn Curry (40 points) is coming off his best game of the season. That should be enough even on the road against a Nebraska team that has dropped four if its last five, including the last two to lower-rated Iowa State and Colorado. Oklahoma State looks like the pick in a Vegas pick 'em game according to Dunkel, which has the Cowboys favored by 4. Dunkel Pick: Oklahoma State. Here are all of today's games.
