She showed great humility in that i think. A woman of her stature didnt have to do that. Granted it was painful to watch, but i tip my cap to her for her gesture towards the mens coach and The fans of Tennessee.
Hey JC...after I posted I thought maybe Pat Summit had breast cancer or someone did in that arena I am almost positive now that I think about it that Pat did or does..didn't mean to offend by saying at least she didn't take her shirt off. So to make a long story short I felt that she did the right thing showing unity and support for the vols..whew anyone follow that???

Cool, i just didnt understand. I didnt know anything about all that, just thought she showed great humility in doing what she did.
Think about it, she has to be 60 +, is the winningest coach of all time and she humbles herself like that. She has my vote as a GREAT person
I have coached HS boys and girls basketball, and you don't always see unity between the programs. I thought it was classic, and shows what a classact Summit is. She is a God in Tennessee, and would never have to do something so goofy as that, but she did it out of respect for Bruce Pearl and the job he has done building the men's program. Good for you Pat
I thought it was great on her part, and it shows how the University of Tenn as a whole, pull for each other......
She's a classy lady, that was a classy and unselfish act, leaving herself open to criticism and humility....
And she's one hell of a Woman's BasketBall coach, with an impecable record.........I enjoyed her humor, and sharing with the fans....Pretty gutsy for a woman her age----kapt
