For all that care, here is what I have heard do far:

Gary Roberts has waived his no-trade clause with the Florida Panthers and has been traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins for defenceman Noah Welch.

The Buffalo Sabres have finally parted ways with netminder Martin Biron, trading him to the Philadelphia Flyers for an undisclosed draft pick and acquired netminder Ty Conklin from the Columbus Blue Jackets. Biron makes $2.2 million this season and becomes an unrestricted free agent July 1.

Why did the Pens trade for Roberts Chado??? Do you think it was to have some veteran leadership for all these youngsters during the playoff push? They can't honestly expect him to contribute any other way, can they? Since you are the resident BC hockey guru I figured you would be the guy to ask

Yes I definately would say that it was mainly for the fact of giving these young guys some veteren leadership going into the playoffs where PITT can definately be a huge playoff threat. As far as putting up high point figures that would not be they role the brought him in for IMO

PITT also picks up "tough guy" Georges Laraque from Phoenix..

So PITT picks up Gary Roberts for veteran leadership and tough guy Georges Laraque for toughness heading into the playoffs.............
