Ok guys, time to add my 2 cents as a LV resident. 1st off, I myself, did get in trouble this weekend, but I will not get into what happened to me specifically so please don't ask. I will say though that I spent 16 hrs in LV County Sunday night/Monday morning, and my cellmates weren't exactly top-notch citizens. IMO, the main reason LV experienced so many problems was due to the high amount of "gang-banger" type idiots that came in from out of town, and had no regard for this city because as the saying goes, "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." I am in no way a racist person so please don't get all pissy with me for voicing my opinion, but this city got over-ran with thugs who showed absolutley zero respect for anyone (including other thugs). When I went to the MGM on Saturday night, I honestly admit I was very intimidated as I was in the 10% minority being a white guy. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing, but I'm just trying to paint a picture for you guys...it was ugly.
I was in Vegas for the weekend too. The wife and I went to a show Thursday at NY/NY and another at MGM. We always stay at the Mirage and bought a 10 ride tram ticket, planning to go down the next day too for a bit. Well, after spending 30 minutes inside the MGM after the NY/NY show and before the one at the MGM, we decided not to go back down there on Friday. Everything article I've read has been right on about the "feel" on the strip. We go about every 6 months, so we're not exactly regulars but do go often. NEVER have we witnessed anything like that weekend. The Sports Guy on espn.com has a good article on it too. I'm just glad we were playing poker at the Mirage Friday night when people were getting shot between Caesar's and the Bellagio. We actually walked from the Bellagio back to the Mirage around 7 on Friday. At least 5 times we smelled weed while simply walking down the strip. I don't mind some weed smoke every now and then, but to just be passing a j back and forth in the open is a little nuts. She bought a coach purse at the Forum Shops (fuck you coach purses, haha) and I was scared just getting it back to the room. It's not that I feel comfortable about black people at all, but as everyone said, these folks were just thugs/gangbangers/etc. Fortunately, it seemed to be mostly contained at the MGM end of the strip, as the Mirage/Harrah's/Venetian seemed close to "normal."
I talked to my friend Sue out there and she reiterated the same thing Jimmy and Apples said... Nothing like she has ever seen before... Its just bad... very very very bad
The number 1 enemy of black people is black people......they kill each other in due time and its rather sad.....Ive grown up in Detroit until I turned 11 and then have lived in Dearborn ever since and that borders Detroit so needless to say I have been around black folks all of my life......Its a shame that they do this to themselves and draw negative attention because for every NBA/NFL/MLB pro & Rapper that makes it big their are countless utter failures yet thats what most of them idolize and try and become.
The problem in these black neighborhoods is a very deep problem and has more to do than just the color of the skin.......IMHO its an economic problem....they just dont reinvest in themselves for their own betterment........why is it all of these rappers and athletes for the most part if you think about live in wealthy white neighborhoods?
Im not sure how many of you know this but the black dollar multiplies .41X while the white dollar is around 3X while the Jewish dollar is around a 12X........what that means is that the Jewish dollar gets passed around from the butcher to the carwash to the drycleaner and so on and so forth
Also I heard that blacks make up less than 15% of the US population but spend over 50% of what the music and and movie industry takes in.......this is a serious problem in philosiphy........
Kinda funny how nowadays how the word 'THUG' has replaced the word 'NIGGER'.
