I thought Irvin did a great job and was one of the better things about ESPN's NFL coverage. Other than his complete bias in favor of T.O., his opinions were refreshing and usually on the money. I'll miss him.Please don't question my record or I will leave!!!!Comment

It actually sounds like this is another example of ESPN's "Disney-izing" of their lineup. In other words, anybody that shows flair and style shall be axed in favor of somebody more vanilla and less dangerous. All you have to do is watch ESPN for a year or two and see how every month, they become more and more plain and less controversial.
If they hire Emmitt Smith, that will be funny. He will be very straight down the middle and show no style outside of their parameters.
And I like T.O. to a certain extent as well. But Irvin would stick up for him no matter what, which was a complete joke. Look for Sterling Sharpe to possibly regain his old job. Somehow Irvin took over for him a few years ago and now with Sterling recently booted by NBC, he's available. I like him alot better than Irvin. Everybody on the set during the Super Bowl shows was stroking Irvin to death - had to be something major to get shit-canned...Comment

michael irvin is a bad guy!!! he does not belong on tv!!! this was way over due. and for all of you T.O. lovers out there you would soon change your opinion if he was destroying your team. as far as these guys being annoying, i don't think it would be as bad if we saw them a little less often. for me it has gotten to the point where i hardly watch these shows anymore.Comment
