new here and my 1st post
I picked up this formula derived by jimmy bravo off the ************ (you can do a search for his posts) and it has been doing quite well in its short little stint so far
Here goes the *20 points* formula
Take the first half totals of the 2 teams then add the second half lines
Take the game total and subtract this sum and if the number is more than or equal to 20 points then hit the OVER for 2nd half HARD.
Here's an example from an NBA matchup recently. All #s off Pinny
A = Total for Denver @ Portland was set at 202 (i think they use the opening line)
B = First half points total between 2 teams = 82
C = Second half line total = 97.5 (if you could get a worse # than Pinny all the better)
D = Sum of B +C = 82 + 97.5 = 179.5
E = A - E = 22.5 > 20 therefore OVER 97.5 for 2nd half and it did come in (109 points for 2nd half)
I believe it went 5-0 few nights ago in both NBA and College ball and have been on a good streak since the beginning.
I don't have time to read through all of their posts but from what I deduce, it does seem to make sense, the game total is set that high for a reason and teams might come out sluggish in the first half but they would adjust for second half and there is always the chance of OT which is definitely an OVER's best friend.
There are only 2 NBA games on the board tonight but a slew of college ball games. I am heading out now though but will try to come back and update this thread with some play or two. If any of you guys feel like filling in, that'd be much appreciated as well.
