I have a local, who is in his 70's, and he lets his wife do some booking, and when she does, I can expect some problems.....

If I owe him, and he says I don't, I tell him, and we go over the sheets....If you tell this to his wife, she says OK, you keep good records.........

Now If, he owes me, we go over the sheets, casualy, and no problem can't be corrected, on the other hand, if it's her, it's an act of congress to go over the sheets, and convince her ass, this/that was my play and you called it back.....generally it's when the games win or lose by a hook......

ROTATION #'s are the key....when asking for lines, call out both rotation #'s, and both teams, in order, if you emphasize a Rotation # or Team, they tend to add hooks to that side, and if they get familiar with your style, as mine on only OVERs, they tend to add 1-1 1/2 to it....

Some people play all favorites, books know that, and automaticly add when you call for lines...

and don't you ever believe they don't do this.....

To answer your question, if you've had the problem before, and he still is bad with his math, then don't tell him a damn thing, it's his responsibility to know how to keep books....

Very good point about keeping records and the games you play on a piece of paper. They go away and its hard to prove and like the Kapt said he probably won't challenge you on this.

Not me but a very good friend of mine booked for years and I would always have the player check off his number to me. You would be surprised how many players have thier figures so fucked up. They get rhe books line then start watching the games forget the correct line by the time they write it down it back to what it was in the paper that morning. Not to memtion the 30 beers and whatevers going on.

How i stopped this was to check the figure with him daily. Only had a problem when he had 2 others answering the phones. This way the problem could always be traced to 1 day. I believe in being fair.
