It may very well be that Dimer is a lovable grouch like Archie Bunker (one of my favorite characters)...but his hatred of Peyton seems to run deeper than that, more on a personal level.

And lovable or not, all I'm saying is, with the amount of bashing he's done on Manning and the Patriots for not winning the BIG one...it would seem he'd give them thier due now instead of calling for the immediate firing of Lovie and Grossman.

By saying they should be fired immediately he is in essence saying that the Bears coach and quarterback lost this game on their own and that Manning and the Colts didn't really do anything to win it.

He's dissed them so long for not winning the big one...he should give them thier respect now that they have.

Believe me tony I had everyone ragging on me for being a colt fan in chicago. Im just happy we had a class game with two classy organizations with no crap going on. This game was totally about the teams, no individual bullshit. Hopefully the giants will be able to lure tiki back next year and your guys will be in the running.

i was lucky enough to go to the Athletes in Action breakfast yesterday in Hollywood where the Bart Starr award was presented to John Lynch....We were treated to a keynote speech by Tony Dungy and he brought a busload of his players (they left early by 9 a.m.) but what a man he is....I gained so much more respect for him as a man of character who is a Christian......They gave out his football card which gave the top 10 on how to be a good dad on the back.....A day i will remember forever.....a HUGE Dungy fan now...and John Lynch.....and Brent Jones (he was the emcee) and Anthony Munoz....others there were Derrick Brooks, Griese, Booger Mcfarland, Tommie Harris, Mercury Morris......

The Colts just flat out DOMINATED that game...I agree with Diesel, Bears were fortunate to be down only 5 with the ball at midfield in the fourth.

If you would look at the stats in that game you would assume it would be a 28 point game...but that's why they play it on the field.

I have read all your posts bashing Manning over the last couple years.

You said before the Super Bowl you would come back and bash him again (if he lost) or eat crow (if he won).

Yet now...you do neither...you blame the Bears like it was sh**ty coaching or one player that lost this game.

The Colts dominated this game and Da Bears were fortunate to even be close at all in the 4th quarter.

Now that Manning AND the Colts (because this is a team game...although you don't seem to realize that) have won the BIG game...don't you think it's time that you give them THIER due props and actually admit they ARE the better team???

              Instead of blaming the Bears??

Why dont you try watching the game. I watched every snap. If you didnt think the offense bears played awful you are high. Why dont you even give me an opportunity to post before chimming in? I started this thread because that game was a total embarrassment. If i was a bears fan i would be disgraced by that performance. Smith's play calling was some of the worst i've ever witnessed. to simply dismiss it would be wrong. Grossman threw 2 picks and fumbled once. if you think that didnt directly effect the outcome of the game again you are HIGH!!!!!! the colts dominated the game yet they were only up by 5 in the 4th qtr? why cause the bears D actually wanted to win but the ignorance of Smith piss poor coaching decisions prevented that. Oh and grossman being scared of the football didnt help much either.

Only up 5? Coulda should woulda, but a botched PAT and a chip shot missed puts them up 9, and a few FG's from the red zone, would have been worse. And the non-Manning turnovers kept Chicago in the game too.

I didn't argue your comment on Grossman but where did Lovie Smith do such a bad job. The team was down 5 in the 4th quarter while Indy had the ball most of the game. That was bad coaching . Give me a Break and once again get a clue. Lovie is a solid coach who did a great job this year with a suspect QB and still won 15 games. If that is a bad coach I guess I have neever seen a good one. Most of all he isn't a pathetic poor sport like what you have in New England. Yes he can coach but what miserable jackass he is.

Yeah, all those tackles Lovie missed leading to 190 rushing yards. Or the 240 Manning threw on Lovie in the rain. The fumbles, the int's; Lovie was really blowing it. Good thing he rushed on D to force the missed PAT and missed FG right before the 1/2 or it might have been worse. But definitely helped when he ran back the opening kickoff. Don't know what he was thinking letting Indy/Manning run off 81 plays either. That Lovie fella; I tell ya. He really sucks.

lovie smith refused to throw a single deep pass (over 30yrds) he didnt even give the deep pass a shot. and by the time he did 4th qtr colts were playing nickle D and that spells disaster for a piss poor qb like grossman. the coaching was so bad, we at the party i was at were calling the bears offensive plays before the ball was snapped. and trust me we are no play calling experts. its run on 1st down, run on 2nd down, 5yrd pass on 3rd down. lovie did a horrible job, all game long. its a toss up on who was worse, him or grossman

the thing that cracks me up is that if the Bears won everyone would be on here defending Peyton Manning...he is one of the NFL's golden boys along with Brady. Being a golden boy isn't bad though it scored Peyton a sweet new Caddy XLR. No matter what they do win or lose the NFL and its fans make them the top stories

190yrs rushing imo was good seeing that the bears D was on the field the whole game. what do you expect.
