I believe the Colts are the play here. I'm (9-1) so far in the 10 Playoff games and i have played out scenario's with both teams winning several times. Would i be shocked if the Bears covered or won? No, but i am scared to death to take them here. I've tried convincing myself that they are the play but i can't do it.

Alot of people talk about the return game and it reminds me alot of when we were talking about how bad Indy's Rush defense was going into the Larry Johnson (K.C.) game. I don't believe they kick to Hester. If they do, i'm not convinced he will still be the game changer many others are counting on.

On offense i see the Colts with the big advantage. I thought Hasselbeck & Brees had alot of open receivers against a banged up Chicago secondary. The one thing you have to do to Manning is pressure him. The Bears were last in the League in QB Sacks and Peyton will pick them apart if that continues. On the other side you have the Bears offense and Rex Grossman. Simply put, he has done the job and brought them here but if you look closer at the N.O. and Seattle games, he made some very bad decisions that were baled out by their defense and some luck. Anytime Rex felt pressure, bad decisions seemed to be made whether it be fumbles or floating balls to covered receivers. This is a bad matchup for him as Freeney and the Colts have been putting a Ton of pressure on QB's in the post season. Beware of the no huddle with the Colts too. I guarantee it will wear out the Bears and probably cost them a penalty or two.

On Defense, believe it or not, i like the Colts there too. Chicago's Defense has not been the "Chicago Defense" everyone wants it to be or thinks it is. The Bears have given up an average of 24 ppg over their last 6 compared to 19 ppg by the Colts. Chicago has also given up 681 yards of offense in 2 playoff games, both of which were at home. The Colts in 3 Playoffs games have only given up a total of 689 yards. That's only 8 more yards in one extra game. I was the 1st one to preach the words Bob Sanders long before the K.C. game and i have every week since then. This defense is totally different with him in the lineup and after proving that for 3 straight weeks, people still don't want to believe it. The Bears are +3 T.O. ratio in the playoffs compared to +2 for the Colts so i see no big advantage there. I do think the pressure on Grossman leads to more T.O.'s for the Bears though.

The Colts held Larry Johnson, Jamal Lewis, Corey Dillon & Lawrence Maroney to a total of 146 yards rushing (combined) in 3 games, yet everyone expects the Bears to have a great day rushing? If that doesn't happen and the Colts put 10-14 on the board, how is Rex going to do when Freeney and the defense start blitzing on every down?

Peyton Manning. Guys, love him or hate him, there is no more of a prepared QB in football. None. To those who think he can't win the big game ... He did that already last week. If you don't think being able to win a AFC Title game at home, and against a team like N.E., who had them on the ropes and probably was in their head wasn't it, you need to stop watching football. That was the mental block they needed to get over right there. The fact that it was against a team like N.E. just made it even more rewarding for the Colts. Peyton Manning will be prepared and play a great game on Sunday while winning the MVP (IMO).
