    Is tonight the night for IONA?

    It is an unwritten gambling axiom that one should never ask a bad team to win, or beat the spread, for you. I don't think anyone can argue that Iona definitely qualifies. At 0-11 in conference play and 0-21 for the year, they have already produced the worst turnaround in a year I can even imagine possible.

    But.............

    They have been getting closer of late, and the opponent , Siena, is not setting the world on fire. Plus I love to play road teams in the MAAC, as they seem to win or cover about 70%.

    Tonight I think the 14.5 points is too many for Siena to get over on the Gaels.

    IONA +14.5

    Probably not a SU winner, but I think they hang close enough to cover for pride, if there is any left.

        I can tell you they will not win this game on the road at Siena, but it should be closer than 14.5 points. Siena is not 15 points better than Iona as Iona still has some talent left over. I would take them ML on the few home games they may have remaining but dont think they can win on the road.

          gl with the Iona cover call GrandPa....I see that game somewhere between 10-18 pts....hope it falls in for ya.....Sienna is gonna be in the 80's in my opinion, how many can Iona score....best to ya----kapt

            Thanks all.

            I played it last night at 14.5, but shoulda waited as it is now 16.

            Also liked Long Beach last night at 12 ( didn't play tho) and it is down to 8. That is scary.
