            NY Rangers at Boston
The Rangers are trying to get back into the playoff picture by sweeping a mini-road trip against a pair of last place teams. New York accomplished the first half by beating Philadelphia on Saturday (2-1). It was just their second win in the last six games, the other coming against the Bruins (3-1) on the 13th. The Rangers have now beaten Boston all five times they've met since the lockout. New York looks like a good underdog pick in this one according to Dunkel, which has the Rangers favored straight up by 1/2 a goal. Dunkel Pick: NY Rangers (+1 1/2). Here are all of today's games.

                      Monday's List of 13:

                      Wrapping up a sports weekend......

                      13) When Bronx Bombers signed Doug Mientkiewicz, I just shook my head and wondered why, but now it all makes lot of sense; Mientkiewicz is high school buddy of Alex Rodriguez, so Bronx is now dipping into psychological bag of tricks to try and inspire the $250 million man into playing better.

                      12) If I were a pro golfer, I'd find out Eldrick Woods' schedule and those would be my weeks off, greatly increasing my odds of winning a tournament. The guy always wins........

                      11) Ratings are higher when Woods plays, but I watch less, since I already know who will win. To me, Woods-less events are more interesting than when he plays.

                      10) Why don't college basketball teams sit on their benches during timeouts? They all have these special chairs, put them on floor and use them, about 10 feet in front of the bench. Is it worth the trouble to move a whole ten feet away?

                      9) You get the feeling the only way Celtics will fire Doc Rivers is if Boston wins too many games, lessening their chances to get first pick in NBA Draft (Durant or Oden, most likely)

                      8) LSU has internal problems; PG Tack Minor didn't make the Georgia trip, for "personal reasons". Minor isn't a great point guard; he sat out the Tigers' Final Four season last year.

                      7) Commentator Cliff Ellis, former coach at Clemson, Auburn, used this phrase during Georgia-LSU game: "They're nervous as an old cat in a new house." Never heard that one before.

                      6) Georgia beat LSU, by the way, as Stoops hit game-winning trey. Selection Sunday is going to be fascinating this year, as parity has commandeered many of these conferences.

                      5) When Arkansas won at Alabama Saturday, they were first SEC West team to win a conference road game this season.

                      4) Listened to Nebraska-Kansas State game on Sirius Radio Saturday night; as XXXX announcer informed us, "Not to be disrespectful to these players, but Doc Sadler has bigger and better guys on their way to Lincoln." No disrespect taken.

                      3) Why are Ohio State, Michigan State playing twice in six days? This is what happens if you let TV people take over.

                      2) Wisconsin-Platteville named its court after Bo Ryan over weekend, honoring the Badgers' coach, who won four D-III national titles in Platteville.

                      1) Horrific loss for Clemson, who gave up game's final fifteen points, losing at home to Virginia, 64-63; on heels on being robbed at Duke Thursday, things are unraveling for Tigers, who had two fouls to give, up a point with 0:31 left, and did not give either one. They just had a total meltdown at the end
